Final Fantasy XI mobile still in the works, here are some screenshots

The first screenshots of an upcoming Final Fantasy game have just popped up online. Three years ago, Square Enix and Nexon Korea announced they will launch a mobile game based on Final Fantasy XI.

Although the game was supposed to be released in 2016, we haven’t heard anything about the Final Fantasy XI reboot since the first announcement went live. At that time, Nexon promised a “compelling storyline, engaging content and impressive graphics,” thanks to the Unreal Engine 4.

Some of the improvements that the developer Nexon planned to add to the mobile …

Google AOSP code commit mentions that two Pixel (2018) handsets are in the works

Last month, we showed you part of an AOSP commit that actually mentioned the Google Pixel 3 by name. Now, a report published today reveals a comment in another AOSP code commit that points to the release of two Pixel (2018) handsets this year. That is not surprising since we do expect a Pixel 3 and a Pixel 3 XL to be launched in the second half of 2018. The comment on the website mentions concurrency tests that need to be run on “Pixel 2018 & above devices.”

The Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL were unveiled and released last October, so the fact that there are still important AOSP tests to be …

No connection? No problem. Microsoft Translator now works offline

Microsoft’s translator has been around for a little while now. It uses A.I. to translate over 60 languages. The app has been downloaded over 5 million times on Android alone and has been helpful for people who travel. In the past, this sort of A.I. driven technology required not just the hardware but an internet connection to boost its abilities. Now that smartphones have gotten more powerful, Microsoft has added the ability to use it without any connection at all. A user will have to download a language pack, which will store data on the device and run purely off the handset. This is part …

Huawei Watch 3 is already in the works, but it will come later rather than sooner

Huawei’s newest smartwatch, the Watch 2 seems to be very popular among customers, and while this should bode well for the Chinese company, it actually hurts consumers waiting for a sequel.
