Deal: Perhaps your last chance to score an LTE-ready Wear24 smartwatch for just $80

Verizon didn’t seem to like its own smartwatch, otherwise, we can’t explain why the carrier discontinued the Wear24 four months after it went on sale. Initially launched for $350, the price for the Android Wear 2.0 smartwatch quickly dropped to unbelievable values.

In the last two months, several retailers sold the LTE-ready Wear24 for just $80, nearly 80% less than the original price. If you missed those deals, you have one more chance to score a good deal if you really want an Android Wear smartwatch.

Up on eBay, a retailer is selling the Wear24 for $79.97 …

Deal: Verizon's Wear24 smartwatch is up for grabs on eBay for just $130 ($220 off)

Even though Verizon discontinued its own smartwatch a few months after the wearable went on sale, you can still buy the Wear24 if you really want to.

Someone found a way to stock up on it and listed the Wear 24 on eBay. To make things even more interesting, the smartwatch is very cheap and it’s available in three versions: Stainless Steel, Gunmetal Black, and Rose Gold.

For those who don’t remember, Verizon had the Wear24 up for purchase for $350, but an eBay seller offers the smartwatch for just $130. We’re not sure how good of a deal this is since the …

Verizon discontinues the Wear24 smartwatch 4 months after launch

Talking about the weird decisions that some carriers take when they launch new devices, it appears that Verizon has decided to discontinue its Wear24 smartwatch just 4 months after launch.

The Wear24 was released by Verizon back in May after the carrier “purposely” delayed the expected launch of Samsung’s Gear S3, just to make room for its own smartwatch.

Even though the Wear24 benefited from one month of sales before the Gear S3 made its debut at Verizon, it didn’t help the carrier’s smartwatch. Probably due to low sales or lack of interest from consumers, …

Verizon Wear24 smartwatch goes on sale for $349.99 sans Android Pay support

Verizon’s Wear24 smartwatch powered by Android Wear 2.0 has just gone on sale online, but we’re expecting the carrier to make it available at most of its brick and mortar stores as well. The price customers must pay for the wearable is $349.99, or $299.99 with a new two-year contract.

One would say that one of the reasons the Big Red decided to delay the launch of the Samsung Gear S3 Frontier was to push out its own smartwatch and sell enough units before one of the most popular wearable devices would hit the shelves.

Either way, the Verizon Wear24 is a pretty …

The Verizon Wear24 LTE smartwatch is launching on May 11

Starting next month, Verizon will sell its very own smartwatch: the Verizon Wear24. Similar to other smartwatches currently on the market – including the LG Watch Sport that’s already available on Verizon – the Wear24 runs Android Wear 2.0, and sports a circular display (a 1.39-inch AMOLED screen, to be exact).

Thanks to LTE connectivity, the Verizon Wear24 will let you make and receive calls without having to rely on a smartphone. Furthermore, with the new smartwatch, you can download Android apps, ask Google for help, or stream music (and easily pair the watch …
