Even if the HTC U11+ isn't U.S. bound, you can still use the phone's wallpaper

The HTC U11+ could end up being one of the best handsets ever made by HTC. Unfortunately, like many of the enhanced flagship models that the company has offered in the past, the U11+ is not coming to the U.S. However, that doesn’t mean that you can’t use one of the wallpapers found on the unit. ROM developer and HTC tipster @LlabTooFeR has disseminated 20 of the wallpapers that you can install on your Android device.

You can check out the leaked wallpaper by clicking on the slideshow below. The images use geographic shapes, some nice use of shadows and pastels to present good looking wallpaper. …

New Apple iPhone X video shows off live wallpaper

Someone lucky enough to have the Apple iPhone X in his possession a little less than a month before the phone will be launched, captured 9 seconds of the device in action and posted it on Reddit. The beginning of the video shows live wallpaper on the handset, with red bubbles of various sizes floating through a black background that makes good use of the OLED screen’s ability to produce a richer, deeper black than seen on an LCD display.

The video, as brief as it is, shows the notch on top of the edge-to-edge screen (although it blends in so well with the black background of the wallpaper …

After getting our hands on some high-quality Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL renders yesterday, there’s only one thing left to do before Google’s 2017 flagship lineup is official unveiled tomorrow.
Get. The. New. Stock. Wallpaper!

And as usual, this is the place to get it. The image has been reworked and upscaled to match the Pixel 2 XL’s native QHD+ resolution (that’s 1440 x 2880) and its taller 18:9 aspect ratio, but it should fit your current phone just as neatly. So, without further ado, here it is (to the side).

Malware found in wallpaper apps infects 21 million Android devices via Google Play

The second largest outbreak to hit the Google Play Store that we know of is called ExpensiveWall, a new malware discovered in wallpaper apps, which is said to be responsible for the infection of 21.1 million Android devices.

Check Point’s researchers discovered the malware early last month and issued a statement that contains all their findings related to ExpensiveWall.

Unfortunately, the malware infected at least 50 apps on Google Play, which were downloaded between 1 million and 4.2 million times before they were removed.

The ExpensiveWall malware was “packed” inside wallpaper …

Here is a look at the QHD Wallpaper for the HTC U11

Watching the introduction of the HTC U11 was a bit surreal as it took place in the wee hours of the morning on the East Coast of the U.S. By the time the device was made official, the specs had already been disseminated through a series of leaks. Even the new Edge Sense feature didn’t surprise us thanks to videos, pictures and other leaks that surfaced on weibo and other sites. And of course, tipster extraordinaire Evan Blass not only shared the first images of the phone, he also had the name of the phone as well.

Among the few features kept secret until the unveiling was the HTC U11’s support …

Wonderwall is my new favorite Android wallpaper app

There is a ton of wallpaper apps on Android, but if you are looking for one that is right for you… good luck looking. You probably already know about some cool wallpaper apps: the trendy Android Wallpapers by Google brings some nice artwork for a wallpaper, and Muzei has plenty of customization options. While these are two great apps, I have recently stumbled upon a simpler app that has a more refined focus: it brings high-quality, portrait-mode optimized wallpapers in a simple and ad-free package.

The app is Wonderwall for Android, and I appreciate …
