How many iPhone owners will upgrade their device this year?

According to some circulating rumors, we might be getting three iPhone models this year – one bigger iPhone X (probably getting the Plus moniker), one slightly updated iPhone X, and a brand-new 6.1″ iPhone, which might be the “budget” option Apple gives us. But will users even bother to get a new iPhone? Well, according to a survey made by research company Loup Ventures, around one-fifth of iPhone users will upgrade to one of the upcoming iPhone models, that are yet to be announced.

The brains of Uber's self-driving cars are getting a big upgrade

Soon, Uber‘s self-driving cars will all think the same.

The ride-sharing company announced at CES 2018 that it had selected Nvidia to be the tech supplier for self-driving fleet going forward. The arrangement says Uber’s driverless cars will utilize Nvidia’s new Xavier Drive chips, a new powerful and efficient chip built specifically for autonomous cars.

Today’s announcement makes the relationship between the two companies official. Nvidia had already been supplying the Tegra chips for the Volvo XC90’s that Uber had deployed for its self-driving trials in Pittsburgh and Arizona (specifically the Drive PX 2), but there was no formal partnership between the chipmaker and ride-hailing company. Last week, Apple kept insinuating that members of its iPhone Upgrade Program had a head start on others when it came to the process of pre-ordering an Apple iPhone X. Apple Upgrade Program subscribers get a head start on reserving the Apple iPhone X

Pre-orders for the Apple iPhone X begin next Friday, October 27th. But those who are subscribers to the Apple Upgrade Program are getting a head start when it comes to reserving an unit.
