Android 8.0 Oreo update for the T-Mobile LG V30 is halted again

While one update for T-Mobile customers will resume tonight, another had the breaks applied to it on Saturday. As we told you yesterday, those with the T-Mobile version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will start receiving the update to Android 8.0 beginning at 10pm PDT tonight. The update was first disseminated on April 1st and stopped two days later. If all goes to plan, 39 days will have elapsed between T-Mobile’s halt of the update, and its resumption this evening.

And that brings us to today’s news. Last month, T-Mobile twice delayed the Android 8.0 update for its LG V30 variant. The carrier …

Lineage 2: Revolution major update adds massive 200-player Castle Siege mode

Saying that Lineage 2: Revolution is a big MMORPG would definitely be an understatement, especially after the last update announced by Netmarble. The massive multiplayer real-time RPG is getting a huge update that adds a new PvP mode, dungeons, levels, regions and more to offer players new ways to spend quality playing time.

As the title says, the update introduces the so-called Castle Siege mode, which allows players to team up against each other. There will be a total of four clans (1 defending and 3 attacking) that can battle to conquer a Castle by imprinting the opponent’s Holy Artifact.

Nokia 7 is now eligible for update to Android 8.1 Oreo

HMD Global has a stellar record of Android Oreo updates, even though is far from being a major player in the smartphone industry. Basically, most of the company’s Nokia-branded smartphones launched in the last year or so have been updated to Android 8.0 Oreo, many of them even getting Android 8.1 Oreo updates.

The last device that makes on the long list of HMD smartphones to receive an Oreo update is the Nokia 7, which is a China-exclusive device. An international, beefed-up version of the handset was launched earlier this year as Nokia 7 plus, but this one comes with Android 8.1 Oreo on …

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 with Exynos 9815, 8GB of RAM tallies high benchmark scores (UPDATE: It's a Fake)

The single-core score hit 5162, and the multi-core score reached 10,704.

Moto X4 on Project Fi starts getting the Android 8.1 Oreo update

Motorola released the Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Moto X4, the Project Fi model, back in December, so it makes sense for the US company to continue with the updates.

Although a little bit later than we would’ve expected, Google and Motorola have teamed up to offer the latest Android version to those who own the Moto X4 on Project Fi. The official changelog confirms along with Android 8.1 Oreo, the update adds the April security patch.

On top of that, Moto X4 owners will benefit from other improvements like the brand new dark theme and power menu, as well as some under-the-hood …

Samsung fixes Galaxy S9 and S9+ call stability issues in latest update

Apparently, the Galaxy S9 and S9+ have been plagued by some call issues, which somewhat forced Samsung to release a new update to address these problems. Moreover, these issues seem to have been pretty widespread since owners from Europe, Africa, Australia and the Middle East reported their smartphones have been having call stability problems.

It took Samsung a few weeks to acknowledge the problem and find a fix, but two updates are now available for the Galaxy S9 and S9+, which feature the following firmware numbers: G960FXXU1ARD4 and G965FXXU1ARD4.

New Essential Phone camera app update improves photo capture speed

I think we can all agree that the camera app is probably the worst aspect of the Essential Phone. Even though the US company released quite a few updates, the camera app is not there yet, so many Essential Phone owners might feel frustrated that they can’t install third-party apps.

Still, the updates continue to come for the Essential Camera app, so hope is not yet lost. The latest update that the Android app received this week doesn’t bring any new features into the mix but certainly contains some improvements.

The most important change is the speed with which the camera can capture …
