Rumor: Upcoming Nokia X5 and X7 to be launched worldwide, Nokia X6 remains China-exclusive

Nokia X6 is one of the most intriguing Android smartphones launched by HMD Global, but for the time being, the device is exclusively available for purchase in China. Although the Finnish company is known for introducing its smartphones in China first, and then make them available worldwide under different names (and slightly different specs), the same might not happen with the Nokia X6.

HMD’s first smartphone to feature a notch display design, Nokia X6 is to remain China-exclusive, a new report claims. The good news is the Finnish company has two other X series smartphones in the pipeline, …

Upcoming Moto C2 and C2 Plus shown off entirely in new renders

New renders reveal Motorola is preparing two new Moto C2 devices. The Lenovo-owned brand launched its first Moto C devices last year in the form of a regular variant accompanied by a Plus-sized model, a strategy the company looks set to continue in 2018. After all, new renders obtained by 91mobiles reveal both the upcoming Moto C2 and Moto C2 Plus.

As can be seen in the images, the second-generation of the lineup closely resembles last year’s series, with just a few design tweaks noticeable. Starting off up front, the budget smartphones will be sticking to more traditional 16:9 display …

Upcoming smart speakers in 2018: Echo, Google Home, Bixby

Smart speakers are becoming a wide-spread commodity, with Amazon’s Echo devices and Google’s Home coming in a variety of shapes, sizes, and prices, and Apple joining the fray with its own HomePod earlier this year. Not to mention the numerous 3rd party solutions, which support either Amazon’s Alexa or Google’s Assistant. No doubt, with the stunning advances in AI that Google showcased at the I/O keynote yesterday, more and more people will be looking to add a smart speaker in their home and many companies will be looking for their place in the niche.

But what can …

New certifications for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 hint at upcoming release

Back in February, we covered benchmarks that many believed meant that the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 would be announced at Mobile World Congress 2018. Clearly, that did not happen. However, the device has recently been spotted over at Wi-Fi Alliance for certification. The new information shows Android Oreo on board (no surprise there). There are also rumors that the firmware for both the LTE and Wi-Fi models is in development. The speculation is that it may be announced at IFA 2018. Samsung has announced previous tablets here, such as the Galaxy Tab Active, and this sort of news shows it is …

Upcoming 6.1-inch Apple iPhone might cost as low as $550

Apple has yet to confirm anything regarding its 2018 iPhone lineup, but we’ve already heard quite a lot about it. While the next top of the line iPhone model will likely be at least as pricey as the iPhone X (pictured above), Apple may be readying a surprise for users who’d love to see an affordable new iPhone.
According to 9to5Mac, reputable KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has updated his forecast related to the 6.1-inch iPhone that Apple is seemingly planning to release this year. Reportedly, prices for this handset could start at just $550 – that’s significantly …

LG G7 vs OnePlus 6: which upcoming phone are you more excited for?

OK, so as far as we know, we are in for a double treat this late April / early May. Industry veteran LG is about to unveil its new flagship — supposedly called G7 ThinQ — and the fairly new kid on the block OnePlus will also be releasing its “2018 flagship killer” — the OnePlus 6.

And the fight between these two might, in fact, be fierce. Both will come with a full-screen display with a notch at the top, both will feature the latest-and-greatest in flagship hardware. LG has its name backing it up, but it’s fair to say that the manufacturer has been losing some steam in the past years and …

Are you excited about the upcoming LG G7?

LG is taking its sweet time with its next flagship, that’s for sure, but we do know it’s coming. The company hasn’t really waved the white flag or anything, and some prominent leaksters have been posting tiny tidbits of information about the G7 (or should we call it the G7 ThinQ?).

LG has had a rough few years — the G3 was a nice flagship, though the G4 failed to recapture its spark, and the G5 really missed the mark with its modular concept. But last year’s LG G6 and LG V30 were pretty nice smartphones. Unfortunately, they were overlooked and underappreciated since the company had lost …

Leaked poster offers us a glimpse at the upcoming Honor 10

Honor 10 is one of the important flagships that’s expected to make it official in the next few months. OnePlus, LG and HTC are likely to introduce their top-tier phones as well, so it seems like there will be some competing between these companies which wanted to avoid launching their most expensive phones around the same time as Samsung, Huawei, and Sony.

It’s not the first time that we report on the upcoming Honor 10, but we haven’t seen an official document mentioning the smartphone before, let along showing it. It looks like Honor is about to start promoting the flagship killer in China, …

HTC U12 leaked renders offer a better look at the upcoming flagship

HTC is likely to unveil it’s first and possibly the only flagship for 2018 in early May. The smartphone is expected to go official as HTC U12+, even though we were expecting to get the  HTC U12 first.

Now, a handful of live pictures showing the flagship have popped up at a Taiwanese company specialized in manufacturing screen protectors. The phone shown in these images looks pretty much similar to the one that appeared in other pictures of the HTC U12.

HTC hopes to turn the tables with the U12 (or U12+) and stop bleeding money. Design-wise, the upcoming flagship looks thinner …
