Huawei's Daydream VR headset very close to unveiling, here are some pictures of its controller

Google kind of jumped the gun on Huawei’s Daydream VR back in January, but the year is almost over and the accessory is nowhere to be seen. Although the Chinese company doesn’t have too many Daydream-ready smartphones available on the market, its VR headset will most likely work with other brands as well.

Currently, Mate 9 Pro and Porsche Design Mate 9 are the only smartphones that have been certified to support Daydream VR. Also, the newly launched Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro could soon be certified as well.

Well, it appears that Huawei’s Daydream VR …

Honor V10 leaked picture confirms bezel-less design ahead of November 28 unveiling

We already know Honor’s next flagship, the V10 will make its worldwide debut on December 5, but not before the Chinese brand will introduce it on its home turf.

A picture of the upcoming smartphone has just been shared on the Chinese social network Weibo, showing the front side of the V10. The image confirms once again that the Honor V10 will feature a bezel-less design.

Honor V10 is expected to boast a massive 5.99-inch bezel-less display with full HD (1080p) resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. Unsurprisingly, the flagship will pack a powerful Kirin 970 processor, along with 6GB Ram …

Samsung foldable phone unveiling closer after Galaxy X receives another certification

The last we heard about the oft-rumored foldable smartphone from Samsung, dubbed the Galaxy X (and no, it doesn’t stand for the number ten) was that the phone would arrive some time in 2018. This hopeful outlook came from Samsung’s top mobile executive, Koh Dong-jin, who made the statement about two weeks ago. Now, it’s believed that the foldable Samsung handset has been certified in South Korea by the country’s National Radio Agency.

The phone seen by the National Radio Agency sports the model number of SM-G888N0; that is the same model that received its Bluetooth certification back in …

Video gives us another hint about an October 4th unveiling of the Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2

A billboard in Boston that we showed you yesterday told us to expect the Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 to be unveiled on October 4th.  While we told you that it was okay to circle that date on your calendar, we’ve come across an even better clue in the form of a video from the search giant. Like the billboard, the video doesn’t explicitly say that the Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 will be unveiled on October 4th, but it does strongly hint at it.

In the video, we see certain inquiries typed into the iconic Google search bar including:

What’s wrong with my phone’s battery? Why is my phone …

Apple iPhone X unveiling shows us that BlackBerry 10 was ahead of its time

Yesterday, when Apple showed off some of the gestures that Apple iPhone X users will be doing in order to get back to the home screen, or to multitask, it might have brought back some memories for those of you who used to use, or still use, BlackBerry 10. That’s right folks, the same swipe up from the bottom of the iPhone X screen that takes you back home at any time, is used to take you back home on the BlackBerry Passport!

Like the Apple iPhone X, the BlackBerry 10 models did not have a home button, which forced BlackBerry to come up with gestures to replace the functions that would have …

Report: Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 could share its unveiling date with the Apple iPhone 8

Last week, we showed you a video made by the designer of the Xiaomi Mi MIX and the Mi MIX 2, Philippe Starck. The concept video showed a phone with very thin side-bezels and minuscule top and bottom bezels. Even though the device in the video is a concept, it very well could be giving us an advance look at the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2. After all, when the person behind a concept is the official designer of the real phone (and its predecessor) you have to take that concept more seriously.

Earlier this week, a report out of China claimed that the MIX 2 had received its necessary China Compulsory Certification‎ …

Latest Apple iPhone 8 rumors: September 12th unveiling, top-of-the-line version to offer 512GB of storage

You are probably thinking to yourself that this is the first time you have heard about a September 12th Apple event, and you’re right. On the eve of its unveiling, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 appears in Orchid Gray

Less than 24 hours before the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 becomes official, tipster extraordinaire Evan Blass comes through again with an image of the high-end phablet in Orchid Gray. In addition to the dual-camera setup on back, we can see the fingerprint scanner to the very right of the camera module, which also includes a pair of lenses and the dual LED flash. Because the flash is in between the camera lenses and the fingerprint scanner, the chances of either lens getting smudged by a user blindly seeking to unlock the device is low.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is expected to feature a 6.3-inch …

While compatible handsets in those markets received the updates, Samsung still needs to press the button that will allow these Bixby related …

Google schedules Android O (Oreo?) unveiling for Aug. 21

We knew that the official release of Android O was on the way after Google dropped the last Android O beta on early testers, and now Google has given the date and time when that announcement will be made. And, Google may have also tipped its hand as to the nickname of the release, unless it is just trolling us all again.

Google has decided that it will release Android O on August 21st during a livestream from New York City that starts at 2:40 pm EST, in order to coincide with the solar eclipse that will be making its way across the United States that same day. This date has been …
