Google brings voice typing to 30 new languages in Gboard, Voice Search and more

New improvements are coming to Google’s apps, the search giant announced. Starting today, voice typing to 30 languages and locales around the world is available in Gboard on Android, Voice Search and more.With the latest update, Google’s speech recognition will support 119 language varieties in multiple apps.

Among the new languages added today, Google mentions support for ancient languages like Georgian. Support for many Indian languages has been added too, along with two of Africa’s largest languages, Swahili and Amharic.

Hackers can crack your password based on how you move your phone while typing, study claims

A study by Newcastle University claims that hackers can crack your password or PIN code based on the movement of your smartphone while typing. Weird as it may seem, the experts say that during the study, they’ve managed to crack four-digit PINs with 70% accuracy on the first try, and have them guessed by the fifth attempt, relying on nothing more than data collected from motion and orientation sensors. The scientific team also claims that tech companies are aware of the problem, but have no solution to it.

Gboard for iOS gets voice typing and new emoji

Are you a rebel, using Google products on your iPhone 7 Plus? Well, we have good news for you, then. Gboard, Google’s keyboard app, is getting an update.

First of all, Google included more languages to the supported ones for Gboard. The keyboard can now work in Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Greek, Polish, Romanian, Swedish, Catalan, Hungarian, Malay, Russian, Latin American Spanish and Turkish. In order to use one of those languages, you can go to Languages > Add Language from inside the Gboard app.
