Earlier today, PayPal and Apple announced that PayPal has become an Apple Payment Partner. This means that PayPal can be used to pay for purchases made from the App Store, iBooks, iCloud, iTunes and more. Right now, PayPal can be used for purchases made in Canada and Mexico, but PayPal says that it will be soon available in other markets including the U.S. There is no word on when iOS users in the states will be allowed to employ PayPal.
