ERL Total Wireless Earbuds Review

When they first burst onto the scene, true wireless earbuds were a premium – being reserved largely for early adopters and diehard gadget lovers. Since then, however, prices have been gradually going down. And that’s where we’re at with the ERL Total Wireless Earbuds, a pair that’s entering new territory with its unbelievable $79.99 sticker price. People are sharing their favourite Pokémon memories and it's a total nostalgia fest

If you were the kind of recklessly uncool child that I was, you’ll have spent at least 90% of your youth furiously trying to complete your Pokémon collection.

Hey, maybe you still are. There’s no shame in it.

Anyway, what good is a childhood spent making friends with make-believe creatures if you can’t at least get nostalgic about it once in a while?

On Tuesday (aka Pokémon Day), Nintendo invited everyone to do exactly that.

Happy #PokemonDay! Pokémon Red Version & Pokémon Blue Version launched in Japan today, way back in 1996! To celebrate, we’re asking everyone to share your favorite moment from the Pokémon video game series. Let us know by using #PokemonDay & we may RT you!

Lost dog rescued from an abandoned mine shaft turns out to be a total superstar

There are two types of “lost pet” stories: The happy ones, where good Samaritans lend a helping hand and everything works out in the end, and the unhappy ones, which we don’t talk about.

Well. Here we are, talking. I’ll let Portia Scovern, the non-canine hero of this story, explain (via her Facebook post):

A subsequent update on Ms. Scovern’s post confirms that the owner was located within a day. The little pup — whose name is Cheyenne — had been missing for just over two weeks, but her human caught wind of the Facebook post and stepped up to recover his furry friend.

In comments on Ms. Scovern’s Facebook post, owner Michael Captain expressed confusion over the idea that Cheyenne could have fallen down the abandoned mine shaft. As it turns out, she’s an extreme hiking dog! Read more…

Starting tomorrow, fixing a cracked screen is only $29 via Verizon's Total Mobile Protection plan

Drop your phone and shatter the screen? As our high school English Literature professor might have said, “That’s sad. That’s too bad, but it is not a tragedy. A tragedy is a Greek play.” Actually, thanks to a sizeable 41% price cut, Verizon is now charging only $29 to repair a screen at 296 locations in the country. Or, you can have the repair done in your home or office in more than 150 U.S. cities. Certainly no tragedy, it is actually no more than a hiccup.

To take advantage of that low price for a screen repair, you must be a member of Verizon’s Total Mobile Protection plan. Starting …

According to the RIAA, streaming music is now responsible for the vast majority of stateside music purchases. Altogether, sales of tunes in the U.S. during the first half of this year hit $4 billion, up 17% year-over-year. At this pace, last year’s total of $7.7 billion in music sales should be topped. Streaming made up $2.5 billion of this year’s first half revenue, which amounts to a whopping 62% of industry sales. Right now, there are 30 million people in the states that are signed up to a streaming music service.

Instagram Stories hits 250 million active daily users and surpasses Snapchat’s total users count

Instagram’s Stories feature has hit a whopping count of 250 million daily users – or a quarter of a billion – after having report a 200 million count only two months ago. It now surpasses Snapchat’s 166 million (as of May) total daily active users by a wide margin and currently seems hardly reachable, even though some people suggest it copied Stories from Snap.

The concept behind Stories is quite straightforward – it enables you to share posts that are visible to other users for 24 hours, after which they disappear. Snapchat launched Stories in October 2013, offering …
