Images of upcoming Moto Mods leak; Amazon Alexa speaker and Polaroid Insta-share printer surface

Back in February, during MWC 2017 in Barcelona, Motorola announced several new Moto Mods for the Moto Z and Moto Z2 series. Among the modular accessories introduced were the Amazon Alexa speaker and the Polaroid Insta-Share printer. Today, tipster extraordinaire Evan Blass sent out a tweet that gives us a look-see at both new MotoMods. The Alexa speaker converts your Moto Z(2) into a handheld Echo smart speaker thanks to the presence of virtual assistant Alexa. The latter will control your smart home, give you the latest news and weather, allow you to shop by voice through Amazon, and much more.  …

New photos of Apple iPhone X surface

The same lucky individual who posted a video on Reddit yesterday showing Live Wallpaper on the Apple iPhone X, is at it again. Today, he has posted a trio of photos of the iPhone X that he apparently snapped late last month as the screen shows September 30th as the date. The first picture shows the phone’s lock screen, the notch, ears and more. The second picture reveals the home screen, and the third and final snapshot focuses on the back of the unit.

We’d like to point out a few things here. One, there is a “Confidential and Proprietary” disclaimer on the bottom of the lock screen. This …

The new Surface Pro will arrive in December says Microsoft executive

Back in May, Microsoft unveiled the sequel to the Surface Pro 4, which it called “the new Surface Pro.” Not different enough to earn the Surface Pro 5 moniker, you still might want to call several versions of the tablet the Surface Pro LTE. Models powered by the Core i5 will include built-in LTE connectivity for the first time in Surface Pro history. That limits the LTE support to Surface Pro tablets carrying 4GB or 8GB of RAM, 128GB to 256GB of SSD storage, and an Intel HD Graphics 620 GPU. As a comparison, the top of the line new Surface Pro model powered by an Intel Core i7 processor features …

Alleged CAD renders of the Huawei Mate 10 Lite surface with a 16:9 screen and dual cameras

Huawei’s Mate 10 — or to be more specific, three different devices all bearing the name — is coming in just a month. So it’s not that surprising that we’re seeing an increasing amount of leaks about the series, though we still have very little info on the regular Mate 10, rather than its Pro and Lite siblings.

But today we seem to have another possible look at one of the three devices — the Mate 10 Lite — this time in (potato quality) CAD render format. Design-wise, it looks pretty consistent with the design we saw in OnLeaks’ schematics-based …

New Huawei Mate 10 renders surface

Huawei itself teased us last month by showing off all of its handsets that featured a dual-camera setup. All of the models had already been released except for the one that had an October 16th unveiling date listed; this is the Huawei Mate 10. The excitement is building for the Mate 10, thanks to the home grown Kirin 970 SoC that will power the phone. Built using the 10nm process, the octa-core CPU utilizes the bigLITTLE architecture with four powerful Cortex-A73 cores and four Cortex-A53 cores to handle light housekeeping.

Besides supporting clock speeds up to 2.8GHz, the Mali-G71 …

Pictures and specs of the canceled Microsoft Surface mini appear once more

Of course you remember the Ballad of the Surface mini. It’s a country song performed by The Voice’s Blake Shelton and is full of the typical heart aching sadness that country songs are known for. It is about an event that was taking place in May 2014 to introduce the Surface Pro 3 and the Surface mini. But on the date of the event, the Surface mini never showed up as the product was pulled from the assembly line at the last moment and was never manufactured. Apparently, the assembly line had its heart won over by another product.

Just yesterday, tipster Evan Blass revealed images and specs …

Internal Microsoft memo blasts Consumer Reports' Surface complaints

Recently, a survey of 91,000 laptap and tablet buyers put together by Consumer Reports, found that 25% of Microsoft’s Surface devices have problems by the second year of ownership. As a result, the magazine.pulled its recommendation of Microsoft’s Surface tablets because of poor reliability. Among the devices losing their recommended status are the Surface Pro tablet and the Surface Book. Consumer Reports now says that it can not recommend any other Microsoft built tablet because of “poor predicted reliability.” Some of the issues that Surface tablet users have complained about include unresponsive …

New iOS 11 icons surface for Apple Maps, App Store and Clock; iOS 11 beta 6 is released

A tweet from iCulture reveals some new icons discovered on the latest beta version of iOS 11, released today. The new Apple Maps icon has something of an inside joke to it as it shows an automobile heading past Apple Park. In the top right, part of the circular building can be seen on the icon. This replaces the current icon which shows a car driving on the I-280 overpass about to make a left turn.

The App Store icon has been made less complex as the paint brush, pencil and ruler that help form the letter “A” (for App) have been replaced by popsicle sticks? Lastly, the font on the clock …

Save up to $159 on the Surface Pro Essentials Bundle from Microsoft

While no one would confuse the Surface Pro tablet with a low priced bargain slate, every now and then Microsoft will take a few bucks off the price of  the device in order to make it a little more affordable for those eager to own one. Another trick is to look for discounted bundle deals that are available from Microsoft. For example, you can now save $159 by purchasing a Surface Pro Essentials Bundle.

With the Surface Pro Essentials Bundle, you get a Surface Pro tablet, choice of Type Cover, a Surface Sleeve, two-year warranty and one year of Office 365. Overall, we can break this …

Moto X4 official press images surface along with final specs

After numerous leaks these past few weeks, we now finally have on our hands the first official press images of the Moto X4, and they are accompanied by the supposed final specs for the phone as well.

The Moto X4, which is the first new entry in the X-series since 2015, will sport a 5.2” 1080p display and it will come in two colors only—Sterling Blue and Super Black (pictured above)—which some of you may find a tad disappointing, considering the supposedly official Moto X4 render in gold that was leaked a couple of days ago.

Under the hood, the Moto X4 will …
