Ohio State fans had the best response to Apple's iOS 11 glitch

TwitterFacebook

Ohio State crushed Michigan State yesterday—and they also crushed Apple.

Ohio State fans perfectly executed a timely prank directed at the iPhone maker. During an O-H-I-O chant, when they would usually represent the “I,” fans instead held up signs that read “A[?].”

Yep, they replaced the “I” with the nonsense “A[?]”—just as Apple did with an autocorrect suggestion for iOS 11 users this week.

State of the Galaxy S8/S8+ union: 6 months after launch, sales are picking up pace

Samsung’s Galaxy S8 and S8+ landed with the most radical design overhaul in the history of the Galaxy S series, a top-shelf camera, and numerous other enticements, but this may have not been enough for users to stomach the higher price at the beginning, and sales were reportedly slower than the S7 and S7 edge in that initial period.

After the unveiling of the Note 8, however, those who were holding back to see what the phablet will bring to the table might have jumped the gun, as the two spring flagships have caught up in sales nicely, and represent a significant …

State Farm sues Apple over an iPhone 4s that went on fire

The count of blazing smartphone batteries keeps growing. It was not a Galaxy Note 7 phone, but rather an iPhone that went on fire. Insurer State Farm filed court documents on Thursday, alleging that in April last year an iPhone 4s “failed” and “started a fire” at the home of a woman from Wisconsin, named Xai Thao.

Preliminary investigations, conducted by an unnamed body, apparently revealed that “a significant and localized heating event in the battery area…as well as remnants of internal shorting” caused the fire. The documents also contain that no other cause was identified …

Report: Samsung SDI is working on solid state batteries for possible use in future Galaxy handsets

A new report published yesterday revealed that Samsung is working on solid state batteries that will run and last longer than the standard Lithium-ion batteries used today. The development of the solid state cell is being done by Samsung SDI, the division of the company that manufacturers batteries. An executive of the firm says that the technology for a solid state battery for use in a smartphone will be ready in one to two years. At that point, the executive states, Samsung Electronics will have to decide whether to use the new battery inside its handsets.

Golden State Warriors deny listening to Rihanna in the locker room

TwitterFacebook

Rihanna who? Never heard of her.

Star player Steph Curry and other members of the warriors have gone to great lengths to deny a taste for RiRi, probably, most people think, because the she’s expertly trolling them from courtside seats, living her best life as a mega-LeBron James fan.

Curry was asked if the team listens to Rihanna in the locker room and he denied that the team had ever listened to her, after Rihanna and Kevin Durant had a championship level staring contest.

“I don’t think it was on there to begin with,” Curry said of Rihanna’s music, after listening to her yell ‘BRICK’ all night. Read more…

How to watch Golden State Warriors vs Cleveland Cavaliers 2017 NBA finals livestream on iPhone and Android

It’s official: the Golden State Warriors will face the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2017 NBA Finals, and it’s the finals game everyone knew and hoped would happen.

The Cavs or the Warriors? It’s the clash of two dynasties: the Golden State team is packed with talent and if it was not enough having three superstars in the form of Steph Curry, Clay Thompson and Draymond Green last year, it has added Kevin Durant this year. The Cleveland Cavaliers, on the other hand, have LeBron James, a man on a mission, helped by Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love, and this …

Started from the bottom, now we're here: 4K footage shows the current state of the Apple Park

The construction of Apple Park, the futuristic circular new headquarters that will house more than 12,000 employees, is almost complete.

The 2.8-million-square-foot “spaceship” and the surrounding auxiliary R&D buildings that are propped across 175 acres of land are receiving some final major touches, which hint that Apple is indeed aiming to finish the large-scale project by year’s end.

Thanks to a 4K drone video footage captured by YouTube creator Matthew Roberts, we get to see the whole of Apple Park from the best possible vantage point that leaves almost nothing …

First held in 1846, the Rutland State Fair in Rutland, Vermont is one of the oldest state fairs in the United States

With agricultural exhibitions, races, and rides, the fair drew massive crowds each year from around New England and New York, eventually being renamed the Vermont State Fair in 1972.

In 1941, Farm Security Administration photographer Jack Delano documented the festivities at the fair in Rutland, even springing to shoot a few rolls in color.
