Meizu Pro 7 rumor review: display, camera, specs and everything else we know so far

Most of you out there may not think of Meizu as a company known for its innovative devices — hell, most of you may not even think about Meizu at all. So far, the Chinese phone maker’s offerings have been the epitome of the cheap, soulless black rectangle people have come to associate with the People’s Republic. Sure, there’s a fairly good reason for that — fly too high too fast and you’ll turn into the next LeEco — but it’s still funny just how same-ish all their phones have looked like in the past.

But not for long.
It’s …

Google Pixel 2 rumor review: Design, specs, features, price, and all we know thus far

Despite the availability issues, it’s pretty safe to consider the Google Pixel and Pixel XL as two of the better top-end phones launched last year. Their most profound feature was the camera, which really set a high bar for all other flagships to jump over.
Of course, it doesn’t take a genius to realize that after the good start, Google will be willing to use the gained momentum and one-up itself and the competition in 2017 with the second generation of Pixel devices. Right now, we are not exactly sure if we will get treated to 2 or 3 new handsets as we’re hearing …

LG Q6+, Q6, Q6a vs Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 vs Nokia 6: specs comparison

LG just announced the Q-lineup of devices, featuring the Q6, the Q6+, and the Q6a, which takes a few pages from the LG G6′ book and borrows that FullVision 2:1 display that LG is quite proud of.
Granted, the efficient screen-to-body size ratio, the slim bezels, and the lack of a camera bump at the rear of the device could very well be the biggest highlights of the Q6 lineup, as the rest of the hardware specs are not exactly what we’d call exciting and awe-inspiring. On top of that, the lack of fingerprint scanners on any of these devices is a let-down, …

Sony Xperia XZ1, XZ1 Compact, and X1 rumor review: specs, software, price and release date

There’s no one quite like Sony on the current smartphone landscape, thanks to the combination of great functionality and unique and quirky looks found in its handsets. Still, for whatever reason, the company hasn’t been grabbing as big an audience as many of its direct competitors lately. Why this is the case is the subject of a different article, though: what we’re here for today is quite a bit more fun.

Rumors! Leaks! We’ve got a whole bunch of those right here, right now, as Sony is set to release a trio of new devices at this year’s IFA, following …

Galaxy S8 Active rumor review: differences vs Galaxy S8, specs and release date

For about 4 years now, Samsung has followed up its “regular” Galaxy S flagships with a special rugged edition of the phone under the Galaxy S Active moniker. Upcoming Moto Z2 Force is benchmarked, revealing specs for the second generation model

With Motorola expected to unveil at least one new phone during its July 25th event, one model that is a possibility to be announced in New York City on that date is the Moto Z2 Force. Today, the second-generation model has been spotted on the AnTuTu benchmark site under the model number XT-1789-05. Before we run down the specs, we need to make one assumption, and that is to expect a 5.5-inch AMOLED screen on the device. That would match the specs of the screen used on last year’s model.

According to AnTuTu, the resolution of the display will be 1440 x 2560 (QHD). The current top-of-the-line …

Huawei Mate 10 rumor review: design, specs, price, and everything else we know so far

After releasing its P10 and P10 Plus flagships in the early months of this year, Chinese phone maker Huawei is preparing to end 2017 with a bang. Naturally, this “bang” will come in the form of a handset which, judging by history and rumors, will be the Huawei Mate 10.
So, what makes the Mate series special? Well, the “go big or go home” philosophy that the company adopts when designing and manufacturing these phones. The presently available Mate 9 can be seen as a perfect example of this approach – the large phablet packs a …

ZTE intros the Blade V7 Plus with bigger battery, but outdated specs

ZTE quietly introduced an updated version of its Blade V7 series unveiled last year at Mobile World Congress. The new device is called Blade V7 Plus, which suggests ZTE made some improvements over the Blade V7 and V7 Lite models.

Unfortunately, ZTE Blade V7 Plus remains a smartphone with outdated specs, even if the Chinese company slightly enhanced some hardware and added new components.

Right off the bat, it’s worth noting that the smartphone ships with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system on board, the same version of the OS that comes on the other …

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 (FE) uses Note 7 hardware and specs, but sports Galaxy S8 UI including Bixby

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Fan Edition (FE) is official, and is being launched on July 7th. As we told you the other day, South Korean carrier LG Uplus is accepting pre-orders at a price of KRW 700,000 which translates into $611 USD. The latest word is that no more than 400,000 units will be sold in South Korea so that the device doesn’t cannibalize the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note8 phablet. Overseas sales are being considered. The original color options, Black Onyx; Blue Coral; Gold Platinum; and Silver Titanium are available.

There are some small changes from the Samsung Galaxy Note …

Latest specs and design rumors for the Pixel sequels are right here, right now!

Just the other day, we told you that system files on the HTC U11 revealed information about the Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2. These would be the sequels to the original Pixel and Pixel XL models. Today, XDA Developers revealed that it spoke with a source that claims to have had some hands-on time with at least one of the new models. Let’s start with the “Walleye,” which is the code name for the Pixel 2 unit.

According to the source referred to by XDA, the screen on the Pixel 2 (Walleye) will weigh in at 5-inches like the original, carrying a 1080 x 1920 resolution screen. The Pixel 2 is said …
