Leaked images purport to show Galaxy Note 8’s S Pen

At the beginning of the month, we saw some concept renders for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 8 that seemed in line with pretty much all rumours about the device so far. The images also revealed the S Pen that will supposedly come in the Note 8 bundle and, even though there weren’t any close up takes on it, it didn’t appear to be visibly different from the one that came with the flammable Note 7.

Some new leaked images, allegedly of the Note 8 S Pen, have surfaced today to provide a closer look at the device, but it’s safe to say that they don’t give us much more detail …

What can Bixby do? Samsung launches 3 videos to show you

OK, so Samsung’s long-awaited Bixby Voice is finally available in the US, making Bixby a fully-functional voice assistant. Yeah, nobody was really jumping in excitement for it, but considering that Samsung was so confident in Bixby that it gave it its own button on the S8 and S8+, everyone was at least curious as to how well it can do compared to the other big AI assistants out there.

The verdict is still out and there are mixed opinions on the Web. And, you may even not know how far Bixby’s capabilities span. So, naturally, Samsung launched a few videos to let …

We have seen various leaks showing both the back and the front of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Today, a tech tipster has posted on his Twitter page images that allegedly show the front of the eagerly anticipated phablet. Unlike most of the previous leaks, these images don’t have a case getting in the way. We could see the Galaxy Note 8 unveiled next month, on August 23rd. That is a little earlier than expected as Galaxy S8 sales are beginning to run out of steam, and anticipation is building to a fever pitch for the Galaxy Note 8.

Previous images showing the rear of the Galaxy Note 8 included …

Even more Meizu Pro 7 leaked images show what playing Pac Man on its secondary screen looks like

The Meizu Pro 7 has been leaking a lot over the past few weeks, in a somewhat finished state. This must mean that the smartphone is nearing release, which is good news for fans of the Chinese brand – or anyone with a liking for unorthodox smartphones.

With its full-color secondary display, the Pro 7 is going to be notably different from other handsets coming out this year. It’s also going to try and make another case for the practical usefulness of secondary screens on smartphones with big and informative enough displays already.

We certainly …

Purported Meizu Pro 7 live images show secondary color screen

The Meizu Pro 7 is an upcoming premium model by a popular Chinese smartphone maker. It’s shaping up as its most experimental device to date, with the presence of a second display on the back panel – still a rare sight since the YotaPhone pioneered the concept in 2013. Speculation ran that the screen in question uses e-ink technology, presumably to save battery power. We also hadn’t seen photos of said display powered up yet.

We now have purported live images of a prototype (presumably) Meizu Pro 7 running a bare AOSP build of Android without any customization on …

Candy Crush is one of the biggest franchises in mobile history, and it’s now moving on to other media. The massively popular mobile game is soon coming to your TV, courtesy of CBS, and what we’ve seen so far from it looks both fun and ridiculous.

Contestants will have to play various extreme forms of Candy Crush Saga, and some of them include massive touchscreens. So big, in fact, that they were awarded a Guinness world record for being the largest in the world.

The screens are 30 feet tall and 20 feet wide, and there are actually two of them – one standing vertically and one lying …

OnePlus videos show its new phone charging faster than the Samsung Galaxy S8

Remember when the most important thing about smartphone batteries was how long they lasted for? At the time, no one cared about how fast the battery would charge up. In the last three to four years, this has changed as manufacturers started to realize that charging times were half of the equation. While Motorola has its Turbo Charging, Qualcomm has its QuickCharge technology integrated into its Snapdragon chipsets, and OnePlus has Dash Charge.

To show off how fast Dash Charge “does its thang,” OnePlus posted a couple of videos today showing the barely out of the womb OnePlus 5 against the …

OnePlus 5 camera samples published by CEO Pete Lau show high dynamic range

Want an early preview of what OnePlus 5 photos look like? Company executive Pete Lau shared a bunch of sample shots on his Weibo account. Although they don’t have metadata to certainly identify them as untouched and original, they do boast a typical 4,608 x 3,456 size, indicating a 16MP resolution. So at least one of the OnePlus 5’s dual cameras is going to be a 16MP unit.

As for image quality, we’d say what we’re seeing is on par with the best in current mobile photography. Of note is the high dynamic range, which enables the camera to depict the sunset scene in a rather striking way. Note …
