T-Mobile matches its rivals, bumps data speeds on the Series 3 Apple Watch to 4G

T-Mobile CEO John Legere is more attuned to his customers’ wishes, hopes and desires than any other executive in the industry. So when T-Mobile subscribers complained that the Apple Watch Series 3 would be limited to data speeds of 512kbps (basically 3G), Legere looked into the matter. Today, the executive disseminated a tweet with good news for T-Mobile customers.

According to Legere, T-Mobile’s new Apple Watch plan will provide 4G LTE speeds for Apple Watch users at the same $10 per month rate that it was going to charge for 3G. Pre-orders for the Apple Watch Series 3 started yesterday …

Apple Watch Series 3 models with no LTE won't come in ceramic or stainless steel variants

Save for the end-of-the-show “surprise” iPhone X reveal, Apple’s Tuesday event felt extremely rushed: the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus part was particularly bad about this, but other stuff like the Apple Watch Series 3 also wasn’t given nearly as much attention as it could have.

For example, Apple only mentioned that the new wearable will come in two variants, one with cellular and one without, and conveniently sidestepped the whole mess of editions (and Editions) — by our count, the Series 3 will be available in a whopping 31 different variants at launch, spread …

Apple Watch Series 3 requires an iPhone 6 or later for setup; battery gets 1 hour of talk time

Apple announced yesterday that unlike previous versions of the Apple Watch, the new Series 3 model does not need to be paired to a nearby iPhone for internet access, or to make/take phone calls. But it still requires an iPhone to configure the timepiece. And while the Series 1 Apple Watch can still use the Apple iPhone 5s and up to communicate with and to set up the device, the new Series 3 watch requires an Apple iPhone 6 or higher for the configuration and set up of the timepiece. The phone must have iOS 11, or higher, installed.

This means that if you are moving up from a Series 1 Apple …

Apple Watch Series 3 Cellular: AT&T and Verizon unveil monthly plan rates

The Apple Watch Series 3 comes with a cellular connectivity option that costs $400 for the 38mm size and $430 for the larger, 42mm size, but did you know that you will need to pay an additional monthly fee to your carrier in order to use that cellular connectivity?
AT&T and Verizon Wireless have now announced prices: it will cost $10 a month to get that cellular connected watch rolling on their network.
This makes 2017 one of the priciest years to own already premium priced Apple products. The iPhone X costs more …

Xiaomi to announce entirely new phone series with stock Android and "flagship dual camera"

Xiaomi is set to unveil a smartphone with a “flagship dual camera” from an all-new lineup on September 5. The manufacturer’s initial teaser for the event only mentioned the high-end dual cam setup of the handset.  This led us to believe that this was just going to be a global release for the China-exclusive Mi 5X, as its camera is identical to the composition of the Mi 6 flagship.
However, a new teaser has emerged recently on Xiaomi’s official Twitter account:

The possibilities are endless and it begins …

Which is your favorite feature of the Galaxy Note series?

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is up for pre-orders already and, with everything we know about the device, it’s definitely a heavy-hitter. Well, that’s sort of a running themse for the Note devices so far — they usually come some months after the Galaxy S flagship for the year and are either packed with slightly better hardware, have more software features, or both. Of course, we also have the Samsung S Pen stylus, which is still pretty much uncontested by rival smartphones.

But it’s the Note’s top-shelf features that actually make it a niche smartphone — it came out …

Google Pixel 2 series to be announced on October 5, Snapdragon 836 CPU inside

After seeing various renders and photos allegedly showing the upcoming Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2, we may now have an announcement date for the two handsets. According to Evan Blass (aka @evleaks), Google wants to unveil the smartphones on October 5. Blass also has it that both next-gen Pixels should be powered by a Snapdragon 836 processor – which hasn’t been announced yet, but will most likely be a bit more powerful and efficient than the mighty Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 (found inside the just-unveiled Samsung Galaxy Note 8, among other high-end devices). …

Apple Watch Series 3 rumor review: design, features, price, release date, all we know so far

Smartwatches – they never became a smashing hit, but there’s one company in particular that has been selling them by the millions. That would be Apple, which ships more smartwatches than any other company in the business. For this reason the rumors of a new and improved Apple Watch model come as no surprise. But how exactly will it be superior to Apple’s current offerings? Well, let’s go over what we know so far.

What will we call it, anyway?
