Samsung Galaxy J6 (2018) full specs leaked before launch

Samsung Galaxy J6 (2018) is expected to be announced later today alongside at least one other mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy J4 (2018). The former’s specs leaked more than a week ago, but hours before the smartphone’s official reveal, the full specs sheet popped up online.

Most of the specs leaked earlier this month have now been confirmed by a set of images showing the Galaxy J6 (2018)’s technical specifications. For example, we already knew the mid-range handset will be equipped with a 1.6GHz octa-core processor, coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory.

Deal: Samsung Galaxy Tab A costs less than $200 at Best Buy

It’s true that the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 is a rather old tablet and probably obsolete hardware-wise, but for less than $200 it might worth a try. Two years after its debut in the United States, the tablet still sells for around $250-$280 outright.

However, Best Buy has decided to make the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 even more appealing. Until the end of the day, the tablet costs just $199.99, so customers would save $80 if they purchase Samsung’s Galaxy Tab slate.

It’s worth noting that the Black color variant is the only one that’s on sale, so don’t try to get the White model unless you don’t …

Samsung unveiled two new colors for the Galaxy S9 and S9+ but said they will only be available in select markets. The Burgundy Red and Sunrise Gold versions of the Galaxy S9 and S9+ aren’t supposed to be launched in the United States, at least that’s what we thought after Samsung’s announcement.

The handset maker confirmed the Burgundy Red Galaxy S9 and S9+ will be available in China and South Korea starting this month, while the Sunrise Gold is expected to arrive in June in select markets across Europe, Australia, and Asia. Specifically, the Sunrise Gold version …

Samsung resumes rollout of Android 8.0 Oreo update for Galaxy S7 and S7 edge

Samsung kicked off the rollout of Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge not many weeks ago, but a few days ago the South Korean company announced it has put deployment of the update on hold due to some issues.

Apparently, a number of Galaxy S7/S7 edge devices (international version) have rebooted unexpectedly soon after people updated them to Android 8.0 Oreo. Well, it looks like after investigating the issue, Samsung managed to find the cause and even patch it.

Earlier today, Samsung confirmed it has resumed the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge Oreo update rollout, so if you …

Closing arguments in Apple v. Samsung patent suit mean the ordeal is coming to an end

With closing arguments scheduled for today, the long running Apple v. Samsung patent suit might finally have run its course. Like a once popular television show that has jumped the shark, the court proceedings no longer seem to bring up the same emotions they did back in 2011 when the original trial started. Samsung’s guilt is no longer a question, and what is being decided is the amount of the check that Sammy sends to Apple.
What is being decided is the definition of an article of manufacture. Does Samsung owe Apple based on the revenue it earned from selling …

Samsung in talks to sell Exynos chips to ZTE following US ban

It appears that Samsung is about to get in the business of mobile chipsets with the addition of new clients for its Exynos mobile processors. Up until now, the South Korean company had only one external client for its mobile chips, Meizu, but starting next year it may add at least one more.

Reuters reports Samsung is in talks with ZTE to supply its Exynos chips to the Chinese market after the US ban. As some of you might already know, United States recently banned its companies from selling components to ZTE for seven years.

Basically, this means that ZTE won’t be able to use Qualcomm’s …

Latest Samsung Galaxy S9 video ad throws a barrage of jabs at Apple's old and new iPhones

Samsung has never been afraid to take jabs at Apple, but its latest video ad for the Galaxy S9 can be safely presumed a clear declaration of war.

The spot called “Moving On” depicts the daily struggles of a woman struggling with her dated Phone 6. Slowdowns, no waterproofing, and general software inconsistency are a couple of the maladies that seemingly hurt the poor damsel in distress.
The video ad culminates when the device gets taken to an Apple Store, where an Apple Genius inquires the woman if she has been thinking of upgrading to the …

Today, we’ve discovered another piece of the puzzle in the form of a benchmark listing that reveals some of the Galaxy Tab S4’s hardware. First off, the slate is listed with model number SM-T835, but since Samsung will launch at least two variants (Wi-Fi only, LTE), we’ll probably find …
