So you want your Samsung Galaxy S9 or Samsung Galaxy S9+ to run like a desktop box. Thanks to Samsung’s DeX Pad, you can bring the desktop experience to Sammy’s 2018 flagships, the 2017 flagships (Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8+), and the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Similar to the way that Microsoft’s Continuum dock allows users of certain Windows 10 Mobile handsets to add a screen, keyboard and mouse to compatible devices, the DeX Pad does the same for the aforementioned Samsung phones.
When the new Samsung DeX Pad went on pre-order in the United States back in April, it was priced at $100. However, customers buying the Galaxy S9 or S9+ received the accessory for free in the US.
The good news is Galaxy S8/S8+ and Note 8 owners who don’t own the Samsung DeX Pad yet, can now get if for 20% cheaper. Along with the Galaxy S9 and S9+, these are the only smartphones that support Samsung DeX Pad, which allows users to turn their handsets into a true desktop computing experience.
When connected to an external monitor, a special DeX mode and apps can be opened in multiple …
Many consider Samsung’s new AR emojis that launched with the Galaxy S9 and S9+ a rather gimmicky feature, but the following announcement could be considered proof that AR emojis are here to stay.
The South Korean company confirmed recently that it has teamed up with Disney to provide Galaxy S9 and S9+ owners with even more AR emojis. All five members of the super family, the Incredibles and their friend, Frozone, have just joined the already available characters of Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Donald Duck.
Starting today, Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ owners can personalize their messages …
It might sound awfully-cliched by now, but Android’s customizability is one of its biggest assets. Conversely, it’s sort of a downside of its own as well – having options is cool, but the more of these you have at your fingertips, the more complex decision-making becomes. Hence, one of Android’s best features is also one of its most overwhelming drag-downs.
Have nothing to do today? Here’s an idea. Get in your car, drive to Best Buy, and take advantage of its sale on the U.S. unlocked version of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Samsung Galaxy S9+. Now, there is a big red caveat. Or perhaps we say Big Red caveat. To score the sale price of $669.99, you must activate the phone today through Verizon. And, you need to either open a new account, or add a new line. Following those rules, the U.S. unlocked Samsung Galaxy S9+ is $789.99.
Suppose you have no interest in switching to Verizon, or in adding a new line to your existing Big Red account. Or let’s …
The online Samsung Store today has given U.S. consumers a reason not to buy the Samsung Galaxy S9 or Samsung Galaxy S9+ from their wireless providers. Sammy has lowered the price of carrier branded variants of its 2018 flagship phones to match the price of the U.S. unlocked versions. Since Verizon and AT&T each tacked on approximately $80 to the price of the Galaxy S9, and $90 to the price of the Galaxy S9+, this represents a small but much appreciated savings.
So the new pricing from the Samsung Store has the Galaxy S9 (U.S. carrier or U.S. unlocked) available for $719.99, and the Galaxy …
Samsung released a new ad today for the Samsung Galaxy S9 and the Samsung Galaxy S9+. Earlier this month, Samsung explained how it was able to evolve from 240fps slow motion on the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8+ to the 960fps on the new models. A readout circuit that is four times faster …
