Truecaller update brings new Request Money feature with limited availability

The folks behind Truecaller, the dialer app mostly popular in India, have just announced the addition of a new feature which will make payments between users much easier. Request Money is a new feature integrated into Truecaller’s UPI-based payments system, which allows users to create links that can be shared and clicked on to complete payments.

FTC asks court to dismiss Qualcomm's request to stop ongoing anti-competitive case

Once again, Qualcomm has been taken to court, accused of being anti-competitive and monopolistic. This time, it’s Apple, Samsung, and the US Federal Trade Comission against the chipmaker. The three aren’t exactly cool with how Qualcomm allegedly uses its humongous portfolio of standard essential patents – governing technology required to be doing business in a specific industry – to play the market for its benefit. Thus, the FTC argued that the court should not accept Qualcomm’s request of dismissing the suit put against the company in January.

UK retailer Clove stopped pre-orders for the Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3310 at HMD's request

Yesterday, we told you that UK retailer Clove had stopped accepting pre-orders for the Nokia 3310 feature phone, and had resumed taking pre-registrations. While a pre-order reserves a phone for the consumer who puts down money to make sure that a unit is held for him/her at launch, a pre-registration simply alerts the consumer via email when pre-orders are starting. Yesterday, there was concern by some Clove customers that  pre-orders were canceled, although that doesn’t seem to be the case.

You can now send and request money in Gmail on Android

Gmail received a few updates only in March, but before the month’s end, Google announced yet another update is available for its email application. However, the following changes are available to Android users only.
