There aren’t many online platforms that can compare to the size of Google’s Play Store. It is estimated that the Android digital distribution service hosts more than 3.5 million apps, with thousands of new offerings being uploaded on a daily basis. Given these numbers, we won’t exactly go out on a limb by saying that keeping the app store free from malicious software and developers isn’t an easy undertaking. For reasons unknown, Huawei has removed all EMUI images from its website

In a surprising turn of events, Huawei has decided to remove all EMUI images for its smartphones from its official website. Usually, Huawei smartphone owners could download and flash ROM images from a dedicated website, which came in handy when new versions of EMUI would be uploaded by the Chinese company.

Now when you visit Huawei’s website that was hosting the download links, you are met with a message that informs you all EMUI images have been removed.

Opera Max for Android gets discontinued and removed from the Google Play

Sad news for Opera fans, as the Norwegian developer announced one of its popular Android applications will be discontinued, Opera Max. Originally launched back in 2014, the application was meant to allow users to manage and reduce data usage on Android smartphones.

For whatever reasons, Opera has decided to discontinue the Android app and remove from the Google Play effective immediately. Apparently, the developer wants to focus on other services and stop pouring any resources into Opera Max’s development.
