New sunglasses can record HD video, snap photos, and stream video live to social media sites

Back in September 2016, Snapchat parent Snap introduced a new product called Spectacles. Basically a cheap pair of sunglasses with an embedded video camera, the device was priced at $129.99 and recorded 10 seconds of video everytime the “record button” was tapped. A maximum of 30 seconds could be recorded and uploaded to social media. Originally sold out of a vending machine that moved from location to location, the company announced last October that in one year it had sold over 150,000 units, 50% more than expected. On New Year’s Day 2018, Apple set a record for the most revenue earned by the App Store in one day. Just a few days ago, on January 1st, the App Store brought in $300 million in gross revenue. During the seven days that started on Christmas Day, the App Store took in an amazing $890 million. Since the launch of the store in July 2008, Apple has paid out $86 billion to developers for their share of paid apps and subscriptions purchased through the App Store.

The 2017 holiday shopping season brought record sales to Amazon

Many consumers feel that they get a good value by spending $99 a year for a Amazon Prime membership. With a subscription, members get same day, one day or two day delivery of certain products. Subscribers also get free access to Amazon Prime streaming video and streaming music. During one week of this year’s holiday shopping season, the company added 4 million new subscribers who signed up for a free trial or paid membership to Prime.

The finicky cryptocurrency has skyrocketed in overall value throughout 2017, but its bumpy December continued in the run-up to Christmas. After posting an all-time high of $19,796 per bitcoin on Dec. 17, the price fell to $11,590 on Dec. 22, according to Coinbase data).

More than 20 years its release, gamers are still trying to master GoldenEye 007 on Nintendo 64, with a recent influx of speedrunners trying to play the game as fast as possible.

Many have tried to crack a long held record by speedrunner Bryan Bosshardt on “Dam,” the game’s first level. 

With a time of 53 seconds on the game’s lowest difficulty (Agent), many gamers have pondered if it was even possible to go faster126 people are tied alongside Bosshardt’s record.

One Plus 5T sets new company record for launch day sales in only six hours

The OnePlus 5T set a company sales record last Tuesday when the latest OnePlus model was launched. According to the manufacturer, it took only six hours for the old sales record to have been shattered. And that obviously made the OnePlus 5T the fastest selling handset in company history.
