Get ready for weed yoga: The first legal cannabis spa may be on its way

Weed and yoga might just be a match made in heaven. But despite pot’s legal status in Denver, “ganja yoga” isn’t permitted. Well, unless you get stoned yourself and then go to a yoga class. But maybe there’s another option on the way…

Owners of the Utopia All Natural Wellness Spa and Lounge submitted a social consumption application on Wednesday to the city of Denver in hopes of becoming the first “fully licensed, state-legal cannabis spa.” Which means you’ll be able to get baked and relax on the premises.

Latest BBM update is out of beta, ready to be installed on your iOS or Android phone

BBM used to be one of the only reasons to buy a BlackBerry. So when CEO John Chen decided to open up the messaging app to iOS and Android users, the executive was taking a big risk. Remember, this was before the release of the BlackBerry Priv, the first ‘Berry to be powered by Android. But Chen wasn’t too concerned with losing hardware sales because he was already looking at BlackBerry as a software company.

He knew he was on the right track when Facebook paid $21.8 billion to buy WhatsApp. If the latter was worth almost $22 billion, Chen reasoned that BBM had to be worth a few billion. …

Peter Dinklage is ready for 'Game of Thrones' to be over

Peter Dinklage is out in Utah to rep his new movie I Think We’re Alone Now at the annual Sundance Film Festival and — of course — he’s fielding questions about Game of Thrones.

HBO’s hit series is set to conclude with its eighth season in 2019, Dinklage seems like he’s ready to bid farewell to Tyrion Lannister in an interview with Variety.

“It’s time,” he said. “Storywise, not just for all our lives. It’s the perfect time to end it. Sometimes shows stay on a little too long, the jumping-the-shark thing.”

Dinklage admits there are “bittersweet” feelings in saying goodbye to a cast and crew he’s come to know over the course of eight seasons. But the “not just for all our lives” comment is telling of the show’s success, and the fame that’s followed each of its stars over the years. Read more…

Qualcomm says that it is ready to move on without Apple

Back in October, we told you that thanks to the various lawsuits between Apple and Qualcomm, Apple is in the process of designing the 2018 iPhone models without using Qualcomm’s modem chips. Currently, the CDMA versions of the Apple iPhone 8, Apple iPhone 8 Plus and Apple iPhone X use the Qualcomm Snapdragon X16 modem chip. The GSM models of the same phones use the Intel XMM 7480. Samsung is ready to mass produce 8nm FinFET chips

Samsung said today that it is ready to start mass producing chips using the 8nm FinFET  Low Power Plus process. The 8nm LPP node fills a gap between the 10nm process used last year and most of this year, and the 7nm process expected to be employed in 2018. Samsung says that it is ready to increase the production yield to stable levels thanks to the lessons it learned with the production of 10nm chips.

Compared to 10nm Low Power Plus chips, the 8nm LPP takes up 10% less area inside a device, and at the same time it consumes 10% less power which saves battery life. Samsung does count …

The Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL battery test is ready: same size, better life

Gather around, Google phone lovers, we’ve got small Pixels and large Pixels, and both have undergone a rigorous battery life testing on our proprietary script that mimics heavy daily usage. The Pixel 2 and its XL brethren managed to beat their predecessors by a decent amount of longevity, and it’s not that their battery capacities have changed in any meaningful amount to boot.

Thus, with almost the same capacity as its predecessor, the Pixel 2 managed to outlast the Pixel with a full hour of screen-on time more, which leads us to the thought that the new and more …
