LG Q6 Review

Introduction
Call it the mini G6: the new mid-range LG Q6 looks and feels a lot like the company’s flagship phone. It has a similar bezel-less, immersive display and it’s got a nearly identical interface.

Of course, when you are talking about a mid-range phone like this new Q6 — sold at half the price of the LG G6 — you know some compromises have been made. Rather than having high-performance silicon under the hood, the Q6 is powered by the entry-level Snapdragon 435 system chip and it lacks the fancy dual camera system of the G6. It’s not water-protected either.

Also, it does …

LG Q6 coming to Europe in August, priced to sell for €349

Unveiled earlier this month, LG Q6 is meant to bring the FullVision display with 18:9 aspect ratio to the masses. Along with its improved LG Q6+ version, the smartphones will first be made available in Asian key markets for around $365 and $435, respectively.

However, European consumers looking to try out LG’s FullVision display will be able to do so starting August. Apparently, the Q6 will arrive in Germany on August 21, but other European countries will get it around the same timeframe.

The good news is the LG Q6 won’t be much more expensive than the Asian …

LG Q6+, Q6, Q6a vs Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 vs Nokia 6: specs comparison

LG just announced the Q-lineup of devices, featuring the Q6, the Q6+, and the Q6a, which takes a few pages from the LG G6′ book and borrows that FullVision 2:1 display that LG is quite proud of.
Granted, the efficient screen-to-body size ratio, the slim bezels, and the lack of a camera bump at the rear of the device could very well be the biggest highlights of the Q6 lineup, as the rest of the hardware specs are not exactly what we’d call exciting and awe-inspiring. On top of that, the lack of fingerprint scanners on any of these devices is a let-down, …

According to leaked images that showed up today somewhere in China, the LG Q6 looks pretty much like a scaled-down G6, although its back is quite different. While said images seemingly show the Q6 in a protective cover, we can see that the phone has a single …

LG G6 mini to be called LG Q6?

According to a tweet from tipster Evan Blass, the name of the upcoming mini version of the LG G6 will be the LG Q6. We first heard about this variant of the latest LG flagship back in April. Speculation calls for a 5.4-inch screen with a screen-to-body ratio just under 80%. The aspect ratio will remain at 18:9. Blass says that the phone will offer 3GB of RAM and will sport a single 13MP camera on back.

If the leaked specs are correct, it shows you how far we’ve come that a 5.4-inch screen would be featured on a “mini” handset. Back in 2010-2011, phones like the Motorola DROID X and HTC HD2 …
