Samsung may have already done updating the Galaxy S8 to the latest version of Android, but the South Korean company has a handful of other devices waiting to receive the Oreo update. The Galaxy Note 8 is getting the update in the United States as well, but it will be some time until everyone gets it.

Surprisingly, one other Samsung smartphone is now eligible for Android 8.0 Oreo, the Galaxy S8 Active. The rugged version of last year’s flagship is now receiving the update at AT&T, some users reported over the weekend.

Usually, an update of this size suggests that there are a lot of new changes on board. However, AT&T only mentions three things in the changelog.
After installing the new version, users will receive the Android security improvements for August 2017. That’s a bit regrettable, as both the September and October patches have been …

While Samsung probably won’t dish out any significant Android updates to this phone as it’s more than 2 years old, it’s nice to see that the company at least provides security updates on a semi-regular basis. The last time the S5 got patched was in April when it received the security update for the month of March.

The update is currently …
