Microsoft Edge preview enables Timeline feature

Like it or not, Microsoft has built a fairly decent mobile browser for both Android and IOS. This is especially true for those who are invested in the Microsoft ecosystem. The browser includes useful features like “Continue on PC” and syncs your favorites/reading list. With Redstone 4 being released for Windows 10 soon (the public release has been delayed), Timeline will soon be a feature on all updated PC’s. However, Windows Insiders already have the Timeline feature and so Microsoft has released it on the beta versions of its mobile browsers. Android saw the update in the last two weeks …

WearOS developer preview released; Android P features are coming to wearables

A developer preview for the newly renamed WearOS (formerly Android Wear) has been released and it brings features of Android P to wearables. Because this is not made for consumers to play around with, it is available only through a manual download, or by flashing it on to a device. It includes updated system images on the official Android Emulator, and there is a downloadable system image for the Huawei Watch 2 Bluetooth, or Huawei Watch 2 Classic Bluetooth.

Among the new features is a Dark Theme. The darker background for notifications and the system launcher that has been in place since …

Microsoft Edge preview for iOS gets optimised for iPads

Microsoft brought its Edge browser to iOS back in November of 2017, but the app’s UI featured no optimisations for iPads. In February, Microsoft announced that it would soon begin testing a retailored interface for Edge on iOS, that would take advantage of the larger screen area of iPads. Well, the time has come, folks. Testers of the Edge preview app for iOS can now install and check out the iPad-optimised version on their slates.

So, what’s changed? Well, not that much, to be honest. As expected, UI elements have been enlarged to facilitate ease of …

Google releases Android P developer preview 1

Google today, released the first Android P developer preview. The number one question on everyone’s mind is not answered by the launch; we still do not know what the “P” in Android P stands for. Keep in mind that this is not a release aimed at consumers and is really made for developers to discover how changes to Android P affect them. Maybe the most controversial new addition is Android support for the Apple iPhone X-esque notch, especially with the news today that the 2019 iPhone models might no longer feature it. With today’s release, developers will be able to test their apps to make sure they …

Google may launch the first Android P Developer Preview in mid-March

Although Google I/O starts on May 8, the search giant is expected to release the first Android P Developer Preview much earlier. Just like last year when it outed Android O Developer Preview 1 in March, Google is reportedly following the same pattern this year as well.

According to Evan Blass, Android P Developer Preview 1 is expected to arrive in mid-March. It is yet unclear how many previews will be launched in 2018 before the final version hits the first phones, but during the previous two years Google released up to five preview developer versions.

Until Google released the first …

First Galaxy S9 preview pops for the Snaprdragon 845 US version, confirms all the new features

Well, well, well, some are mining bitcoins and interfering with people’s phone calls, others are mining Reddit threads for information about the Galaxy S9, and scoring a whole AMA dedicated to Samsung’s flagship.

Coming from someone who claims they spent about 20 minutes toying around with the phone, the session is rife with first-look impressions about the S9, so we will summarize the guy’s impressions below, so you don’t have to read through the whole wide thread.
First off, the design is indeed very close to the S8, and the leaked renders apparently …

This Galaxy S9 and S9+ official Clear View cases preview is a tell-all

If there has been any doubt that the Galaxy S9 will come with a single, and the S9+ with a dual camera, while both will feature a new finger scanner placement below their lenses, just like on Samsung’s new A-series, their official cases leaked in the video above, should dispel with the soul-searching.

We cross-checked the case model numbers stamped inside, and they coincide with the leaked list of official Samsung accessories for the S9 and S9+. The EF-ZG960C number denotes a Clear View Cover case for the S9, for instance, and so on, so the cases …

Microsoft Edge Preview is getting a dark theme and password syncing

Microsoft continues to update its rather new Edge browser with new features and improvements that will bring it up to par with more popular mobile browsers. The latest update is only available for the preview version of Microsoft Edge since a final version hasn’t been released on Android yet.

The changes Microsoft included in the latest version of Edge Preview are more related to the cosmetic side, but there’s also something that will please those looking for more usability.

So, Microsoft Edge will eventually include a Dark Theme. According to Microsoft, …
