USB-C to 3.5mm earphone jack adapter still not working for many Pixel 2/2 XL users

You know that a phone is having problems when a law firm starts soliciting owners to see if they want to join a Class Action suit against the manufacturer. In the case of the Google Pixel sequels, both the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL have been the target of various complaints. The Pixel 2 XL has burn-in issues (although not more than any other premium smartphone says Google) and other problems with the screen. Pixel 2 users were hearing strange clicking and buzzing sounds. The latter was fixed via an OTA update.

Just the other day, we told you how several Pixel 2 XL owners noticed that their …

Google looking into reports of slower Pixel 2 XL fingerprint scanner after Android 8.1 update

Some Google Pixel 2 XL users are not happy about what happened to their handset following the update to Android 8.1 earlier this month. According to the Google support forum, several Pixel 2 XL owners found that the fingerprint scanner on the back of the phone is taking longer to unlock their device. For example, one user of the device said that it took “a good second” for the screen to turn on after activating the fingerprint sensor.

Apparently, there is a workaround for the sluggish biometric reader. Turning on the always on feature will allow the fingerprint scanner on the Pixel 2 XL …

Well, we haven’t.
Just as you might imagine, this otherwise minor change has been the cause of tons of backlash that’s aimed at Google itself. Sure, such a tooltip is a rather harmless addition to the stock Pixel Launcher that will be helpful to the …

Instagram would have been super silly during the Renaissance years, don’t you agree? Seriously: imagine dinner being served, then an artist is summoned to draw a painting of your dish, after which a carriage arrives to pick up the painting and deliver it to your crush. And then you start eating your pork belly soup. Luckily, we have smartphones – smartphones that can not only take great photos, but also make these photos more fun and better at grabbing attention; smartphones that have Portrait Mode, developed to make the subject stand out by applying artistic blur (basically …
