Leaked info suggests Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) packs Exynos chipset and runs Android 7.0 Nougat

Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) is the lesser-featured Galaxy J series smartphone the South Korean company plans to launch this year. The entry-level Galaxy J3 (2017) doesn’t pack any fancy features that would make it stand out from other handsets in the same price range. However, it looks like Samsung has decided to include Android 7.0 Nougat on board.

The smartphone that goes by model number …

If you’re in the market for a fitness tracker right now, Fitbit’s products seems like the most obvious choice, what with the company’s near-monopoly on stylish yet useful consumer wearables. The Galaxy A8 is official, Samsung thinnest phone to date packs a punch

How do you announce a phone for which most everything has been leaked so far? Well, you just let the cat out of the bag, and that’s exactly what Samsung did with the hotly anticipated Galaxy A8, it’s thinnest phone to date, and one of the slimmest Androids ever built.

Samsung-Galaxy-A8-Official

The Galaxy A8 is indeed sub-6mm thin (5.9mm at it thinnest, to be precise), with 158mm length and 77mm width, weighing 151 grams to assure you of its premium chassis materials. It sports a 5.7″ 1080p Super AMOLED display, making it the largest phone in the metallic A-series. The handset runs on an octa-core Snapdragon 615, clocked at 1.5 GHz, and has 2 GB of RAM, 16/32 GB of internal memory, plus a microSD slot.

The rear camera is a 16 MP ISOCELL endeavor, while the selfie-snapper is listed with 5 MP resolution, and a wide f/1.9 aperture, just like on the S6. All of this is backed up by a rather generous 3050 mAh battery, and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop fumes, with the obligatory TouchWiz overlay on top. The phone is landing with a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home key, too.

Sounds great so far, given that the A-series offers one of the most compact and pretty Androids out there, and the Galaxy A7 even topped our list of the thinnest, lightest metal phones in the universe of the green robot. The Galaxy A8 is at least as compact for its largish screen size, which bodes well for its maneuverability with one hand.

The fact that the phone appeared first on Samsung’s China website, however, speaks volumes about the regions it is headed towards first, so as soon as we get more details on pricing and availability, those will be relayed in a timely manner. Any takers?
