LG G6 goes official: stylish and durable 5.7-inch full-screen design in a surprisingly small body

The LG G6 is now finally official and it feels like a reset for LG, away from the previous experimental designs the company was known for. Gone are modular phones and leather backs: instead, the LG G6 is a stylish and durable phone with a trendy glass body and a metal frame. It’s also the first of an upcoming wave of futuristic-looking ‘full-screen’ phones with tiny bezels, and it features the highest level of water and dust protection.
There is a ton of new features about the LG G6, but a lot of them center around the new 5.7-inch display …

BlackBerry KEYone (Mercury): All the official images

After ditching its proprietary OS in favor of Android, BlackBerry has released only one smartphone featuring the brand’s iconic physical keyboard – the BlackBerry Priv which launched in 2015 to a resounding ‘meh’. Now, in partnership with Chinese manufacturer TCL, another Android handset bearing the BlackBerry name and featuring a QWERTY keyboard is poised to hit the market in the form of the BlackBerry KEYone (previously known under the code name Mercury).
The KEYone is a curious little phone. While all major phone makers are pushing for …

The BlackBerry KEYone (known also under its BlackBerry Mercury codename) has just gone official. The KEYone is the newest and most powerful ‘Berry with a full QWERTY keyboard and the largest ever battery in a BlackBerry.
An interesting detail to remember while reading about this new ‘Berry is that the phone is now actually made by a different company, TCL Communications, while BlackBerry is a licensing partner that handles the software, but will not be responsible for the actual sales and distribution of the phone.

Check out the official BlackBerry KEYone product video

The BlackBerry KEYone is now official. And what screams that there is a new smartphone on the way more than an official product video? The video produced for the BlackBerry KEYone (will there be a KEYtwo?) is designed to grab at two things, your brain and your wallet. After all, if BlackBerry can reach the pleasure center of your brain with this clip, you’ll be opening up your wallet to buy the device as soon as it is launched in April.

The BlackBerry KEYone product video starts off with a shot of that gorgeous physical QWERTY keyboard. That is a great idea because this is the feature …

The spaceship Apple Park campus will be Apple's new official HQ starting this April

Apple is a company that’s known for a lot of things. It pioneered the personal computer, revolutionized the modern-day smartphone, and is the reason why many of us own some form of tablet. Through all of the products that the company has kicked out, one thing that’s undeniable is Apple’s sense of design. With the exception of a few ugly ducklings here and there, Apple consistently produces items that are sleek, sexy, and oh-so pretty. Although we won’t get our hands on the upcoming iPhone 8 for a few more months, something that will be launching this April is Apple’s brand-new …

T-Mobile's Galaxy S7 Nougat beta users start getting the official Android 7.0 update

While the unlocked Exynos versions of the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge in UK, Germany and other places have been receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat update on their handsets, the US carriers are still dragging their feet a month after Samsung announced the official rollout. That’s to be expected, of course, as the local units are powered by a different chipset, and… carriers.

T-Mobile, however, is almost ready with the update, it seems, as it has started pushing retail Nougat with the new Samsung UX overlay to its Galaxy S7 and S7 edge users who subscribed for the beta version …

Official video shows how a 30 minute commute powers up a OnePlus 3T for the rest of the day

Rapid charging has become a major feature on high-end smartphones like the OnePlus 3T. Most handset manufacturers use a high voltage charger to power up the depleted battery, and while this does make charging faster, it also warms up the phone which extends charging times. OnePlus’ Dash Charge uses a different method. Dash Charge increases the amperage allowing the charger to carry more current to the cell. This charges the battery even faster, and at a lower temperature too. As a result, the OnePlus 3T on Dash Charge will generate enough battery life in a 30-minute commute to last the …

Yahoo Answers makes its official mobile debut

yahoo-answers-now Yahoo Answers has officially launched on mobile. BlackBerry DTEK60 becomes official, price and specs announced

BlackBerry’s newest secure smartphone unveiled – BlackBerry DTEK60.

BlackBerry went ahead and released a follow-up to the DTEK50, a mid-range smartphone launched in the early part of this year.

Much like its little brother, it also borrowed its design and body from TCL. The BlackBerrt DTEK60 flaunts a 5.5-inch Quad HD display in front with a dual-glass panel design on both sides. There’s a metal frame on the sides to make it even more premium. And to add to that, it’s very slim measuring only 7mm at its thickest point.

BlackBerry DTEK60 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and 4GB RAM, making it rise to the high-end spectrum. On the storage side, there’s only 32GB onboard but it’s expandable by up to 2TB.

The company prides itself with their hardened security prowess, which will also encrypt the DTEK60 on top of the Android OS. Since security is its utmost concern, there’s also a fingerprint scanner placed on the back for easier access.

BlackBerry DTEK60 Specs:

– Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow
– 5.5-inch Quad HD display, ~534ppi
– 2.15GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor
– Adreno 530 GPU
– 32GB storage, expandable up to 2TB via microSD
– 21-megapixel rear camera with phase detection autofocus and LED flash
– 8-megapixel front camera
– 4K video recording
– WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac
– 4G LTE
– Bluetooth 4.2 LE, EDR
– USB Type-C
– Fingerprint scanner
– Dimensions: 153.9 x 75.4 x 7 mm
– Weight:165g
– 3000mAh battery, Quick Charge 3.0

Just this month, the BlackBerry DTEK50 has been made available in the Philippines for Php14,990. It has an international SRP of $299, so we got it for a good price considering it’s almost the same as direct conversion. We’re hoping that we would get the same pricing in the BlackBerry DTEK60.

These BlackBerry smartphones aren’t aimed for the public, but rather for the businesses and governments. Still, it’ll be available for purchase for everyone concerned about their security.

The BlackBerry DTEK60 is now available in the US for a price of $499.
