The 2018 edition of the Nokia 6 could get unveiled sooner than expected. The mid-range phone, which recently passed certification with Chinese regulatory agency TENAA, might go official on January 5th. The latest information comes from Suning, one of the largest retailers in China.
Today, the official Weibo account of Suning shared the following poster. It basically counts down the days left until the announcement of the Nokia 6. Earlier expectations were that the unveiling will happen in the second half of January, so the latest developments …

Nokia 4, Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 1 rumored to be joining Nokia 6 (2018), Nokia 8 (2018) and Nokia 9

A couple of newcomers might be getting ready to join Nokia’s rumored 2018 smartphone lineup. An APK file for the default Nokia camera app has revealed that the Nokia 4 and Nokia 7 Plus will be joining the Nokia smartphone lineup this year. Other Nokia branded phones already leaked include the Nokia 6 (2018), Nokia 8 (2018), Nokia 9 and the Nokia 1. The latter will be Nokia’s first Android One (Go Edition) model.

No specs belonging to the Nokia 4 and Nokia 7 Plus have been leaked, but judging by the name, we would expect that the Nokia 7 Plus will sport a display larger than the 5.2-inches …

HMD Global has quite a few Android smartphones in the pipeline, so Nokia fans should be thrilled about the perspective of having a much larger portfolio at their disposal. We’ve already reported about two possible Nokia-branded smartphones coming next year, Nokia 1 and Nokia 6 (2018).

However, the Finnish company plans to launch a lot more devices in 2018, not just those two that we already know about. Luckily, someone found his way into the latest version of Nokia Camera app and learned more about HMD’s upcoming products.

Nokia 6 (2018) leak points to multiple models with different specs sheets

There’s no doubt that HMD Global plans to launch more Nokia-branded smartphones next year, and one of them could be a sequel to the mid-range Nokia 6.

The name of the upcoming phone is a bit uninspired, but we don’t know for sure if HMD will choose to launch it on the market as Nokia 6 (2018). However, we do know that the Finish company plans to release at least two different versions of the handset.

Two weeks ago, the first variant of the Nokia 6 (2018) was spotted at TENAA, the Chinese regulatory agency, but now a different model has been listed at the …

Here is the highly-anticipated 4G Nokia 3310, the only feature phone you'll need

It’s no surprise that HMD Global wants to launch a 4G version of the Nokia 3310. Since the 2G model wouldn’t work in all countries, HMD released the 3G Nokia 3310, which is available in the United States as well but to cover even more markets a 4G model is absolutely necessary.

However, a much better Nokia 3310 that will feature 4G support will be launched next year. The feature phone was recently certified at TENAA, the Chinese regulatory commission, which suggests we might not have to wait too long for the device to go official.

There are no differences …

Nokia 2 to be updated directly to Android 8.1 Oreo

HMD Global plans to update all its Nokia-branded smartphones to Android Oreo, the Finnish company confirmed a while ago. In fact, Nokia 8 has already received the update, while Nokia 5 and 6 are now going through the beta testing.

Although they are aimed at the entry-level segment Nokia 2 and 3 will be updated to Android Oreo as well. Despite the fact that both pack hardware that in theory might not run Android OS as smooth as a mid-range smartphone, thanks to Android Go, at least one of these devices will have no issues with Oreo.

According to HMD’s Juho …

Nokia 1 may be launched in March as part of the Android Go program

Unveiled back in May, Google’s Android Go is meant for emerging markets where people barely afford a budget-friendly smartphone. Android Go is supposed to make wonders in places where network coverage is scarce and mobile data is expensive.

Many smartphone companies promised to support Google’s initiative to launch a lightweight version of its Android operating system, including Finnish company HMD Global.

It appears that the next entry-level Nokia-branded smartphone to be launched by HMD Global, the Nokia 1 will be part of the Android Go program, which means …

Leaked Nokia 9 render reaffirms dual selfie cameras, slim bezels

We’ve been hearing about an upcoming Nokia 9 device for a while and it looks like it’s going to be HMD’s fully-packed heavy hitter. While the Nokia 8 would still remain on the flagship spot, the 9 would be that poweruser’s device — the same way the Note 8 and LG V30 are a bit more niche due to the fact that they offer features not every user would care about.

So, what would the Nokia 9 be? We’ve gotten some hints and tips about its hardware — it will be powered by the Snapdragon 835, the rumor mill says — and a clue about a quad-camera setup has been discovered by nosy fans who dig through …

Nokia 6 joins the Android Oreo beta program, enroll to get the update

Nokia 6 is the third smartphone launched by HMD to join the Android Oreo beta program, after Nokia 5 and Nokia 8. Those who own the Nokia 6 have two choices: either enroll the beta program and start testing Android Oreo, or wait for HMD to release the final version of the update.

According to HMD’s Chief Product Office, Juho Sarvikas, Nokia 6 owners who want to download the beta version of Android Oreo must subscribe to Nokia Mobile Beta Labs (you can find the link below).

Obviously, if you’re not into testing new software, it’s better to wait for the final …
