Alleged Moto X5 picture shows four cameras, bezel-less design, iPhone X-like notch

New reports about Motorola’s new lineup of smartphones have started to pop up recently. We’ve already talked about the Moto E5, Motorola’s next budget-friendly smartphone coming in the first half of the year, so let’s take a look at yet another unannounced device that should be announced soon – the Moto X5.

The sequel to the Moto X4 comes with a slightly different design. For once, the Moto X5 is a truly bezel-less smartphone, but what makes it stand out is the iPhone X-like notch at the top, which seems to have been included to make room to the dual front cameras.

Motorola's new G6 lineup – Moto G6, Moto G6 Plus and Moto G6 Play, gets leaked

Motorola fans rejoice, as your favorite brand has quite a few surprises in store for you. Well, not anymore since they all ended up on the internet, but that no reason not to be excited, right?

There was no doubt that the G5 lineup will be followed by the G6, although some wondered if another G Play smartphone would be part of the new lineup once again. Well, apparently the answer is affirmative, at least according to some official (or not) images that have just leaked online. In fact, this is just a confirmation of what Evan Blass pointed out back in October.

Motorola Moto Z3 and Z3 Play allegedly leak out; is that a Samsung Galaxy-like dual curve screen?

Lenovo and Motorola Mobility seem to be preparing an
important design overhaul for most of the Moto phones that are scheduled to be
launched this year. After seeing renders allegedly presenting the Moto X5 and
the Moto G6 family, we can now also take a look at what appears to be the Moto
Z3 series – including a regular Moto Z3, and a Moto Z3 Play.

Like the Moto X5 and G6, the Moto Z3 and Moto Z3 Play have
pretty thin bezels, which means Motorola is ready to ditch the not-so-modern
design employed by last year’s Moto Z2 Force and Z2 Play.

According to Droid-life, both the Z3 and …

Motorola Moto E5 leaks out – the first modern Moto phone with a rear fingerprint scanner

After the Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus of last year (both
released as attractive cheap smartphones), Lenovo and Motorola Mobility are now
seemingly planning to introduce a Moto E5 family. While official details about
this are currently missing, a render that allegedly shows a Moto E5 was just revealed
by Indian website MySmartPrice.

Unlike the Moto E4 and E4 Plus, which – similar to all recent Moto handsets – feature fingerprint scanners embedded on the front, the Moto E5 comes
with a rear fingerprint scanner. The scanner is embedded into the Moto logo,
just below the main camera.

Deal: The Moto Z Play is on sale for just $270 (40% off) at B&H

The Moto Z Play is probably one of the best-selling Motorola smartphones in the United States and B&H somewhat confirms it. The mid-range handset was part of the retailer’s promotional offer before the New Year’s Eve, which allowed it to become the top seller smartphone on B&H’s online store.

Although the previous promotional offer included more Motorola smartphones, only the Moto Z Play has been tagged as “Top Seller” by B&H. If you missed the sale, the US retailer has the Moto Z Play on discount again and, more importantly, you can get it for the same …

The most expensive of the two, the Lenovo Vital Moto …

Specs comparison: Xperia XA2 Ultra vs ZenFone 4 vs Moto Z2 Play

So, Sony’s new midrangers are out – the Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra. With a mix between premium design and mid-tier hardware, they will try to please the selfie-lovers that like to have a nice phone on hand without necessarily breaking the bank.

Let’s take a look at the XA2 Ultra, for example — a wide-angle, 8 MP selfie camera is next to a 16 MP, OIS-assisted selfie camera, and there’s a LED flash up front as well. Obviously aimed at the selfie-loving youngsters, the handset still has a lot to offer under the hood as well — a massive battery, a good amount of RAM, generous storage… …

Android 7.1.1 Nougat starts rolling out to Moto G4 Play after a 6-month delay

It looks like Motorola has finally kicked off the roll-out of Android 7.1.1 Nougat update for the Moto G4 Play. The last major OS update the smartphone will receive is now available for download to unlocked Moto G4 Play units around the world.

Unlike the Moto G4 and G4 Plus that got a similar update last year, Moto G4 Play owners had to wait several more months to get the benefits of Android Nougat. Some of you might remember that Motorola started to push Android Nougat to the Moto G4 Play back in June, but for some reason, the update was only available to a small percentage of users.

Moto Z2 Force starts getting Android 8.0 Oreo update at T-Mobile

T-Mobile is the second major US carrier that pushes out an Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Moto Z2 Force. Motorola’s flagship received a similar update at Verizon last week, so AT&T and Sprint may follow soon.

T-Mobile has yet to confirm the update on its support website, but we do know for sure the update contains the December security patch. According to a screenshot posted on XDA Forum, if you own the T-Mobile Moto Z2 Force, then you should be looking for an update with build number OCX27.

The update is likely to be available for a small percentage of T-Mobile customers at …
