Motorola Moto E4 now available at Sprint and Boost Mobile

Starting today, Sprint and Boost Mobile are selling the Moto E4, one of Motorola’s newest (and cheapest) smartphones. Previously released unlocked, as well as via Verizon and MetroPCS, the Moto E4 runs Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box, and is definitely a handset to consider if you’re on a tight budget.

While it’s more expensive than on Verizon and MetroPCS, Sprint’s and Boost’s Moto E4 is still cheaper than the unlocked version of the phone, which costs $129.99. The handset can be purchased from Boost Mobile for $79.99 (plus tax) after instant online rebate, …

Moto Z finally gets updated to Android 7.1.1

In Hong Kong and Indonesia today, Moto Z users are in the process of receiving the update to Android 7.1.1. The phone originally shipped last year with Android 6.0 pre-installed, and was eventually updated to Android 7.0. Once the notification is received that the update has hit your Moto Z, make sure that the device is connected to a Wi-Fi or strong cellular signal before continuing with the updating process. At the same time, the battery on the phone needs to be charged to at least 50%.

If the update has not been received yet, you can try to have it sent to you manually by going to Settings …

Starting July 31, the handset will be available for even less thanks to MetroPCS (T-Mobile’s prepaid brand).

MetroPCS will sell the Moto E4 for only $49 (plus tax) after rebate, no contract required. Or, if you switch to MetroPCS with a qualifying number, you’ll be able to get the new phone for free (after instant rebate) plus tax.

The Moto E4 is definitely a product …

More Moto G5S Plus photos leak ahead of possible July 25 announcement

Just a week after noted leakster Evan Blass shared details about the Moto G5S Plus, two live images of the handset surfaced online. They give us a good “in-action” look at the upcoming smartphone, even if the latter is still covered in stickers and obviously still being prepared for a soon-to-be reveal.

According to Blass’ report and all the leaked evidence supporting his claims, the reported changes from the original Moto G5 Plus are both cosmetic and technological. For starters, the smartphone is now made of aluminum, no longer making do with a plastic back. What’s more, a dual camera …

New Moto teaser reveals that the Moto Z2 Force will be unveiled on July 25th

Exactly one week ago today, we showed you an invitation that Motorola sent out for a July 25th event. While no phones were named, we mentioned the Moto Z2 Force and the Moto X4 as two models that could be unveiled by Motorola later this month. As it turns out, a teaser posted by Motorola today tells us in no uncertain terms that at least one of the models being announced will be the Moto Z2 Force.

The new teaser shows a couple of phones, both with shattered screens. Broken glass is all over the background and the tag line reads, “get ready to shatter your expectations.” That is actually …

Mystery Moto phone pops up on a benchmark. Could be a selfie-centric variant of the Moto X4?

For a while now, we’ve been hearing whispers of a new Moto X phone coming our way. The last time we saw the X line was in 2015 when the Moto X Style was actually Motorola’s flagship phone. Since then, it has been replaced by the Moto Z, and rumors of the X coming back may sound confusing at first considering the fact that there’s also a Moto Z2 on the way. However, it appears that the X will not try to rival or cannibalize the Z family of handsets.

Earlier rumors have said that the new phone will, indeed, be named Moto X4, that it will rock a metallic body, and …

Moto Z2 with Moto Mods surfaces on official Chinese Moto site; phone to be unveiled July 25th

An official Moto website in China has already posted an image of the Moto Z2 prior to the phone’s expected unveiling on July25th. While the phone does have a strong resemblance to the already available Moto Z2 Play, the Moto Z2 sports a dual camera setup on back unlike the single rear snapper on the Z2 Play. Similar to the original Moto Z, the Moto Z2 will feature a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 (QHD).

Under the hood you will find Qualcomm’s current top-of-the-line Snapdragon 835 chipset. That means that the unit is driven by an octa-core CPU and the Adreno …

A dual camera (two 13MP sensors, one color, and one monochromatic) has been added, the front camera has been upgraded to 8MP (from 5MP), and the display has been enlarged to 5.5 inches by diagonal. The smartphone also grows slightly bigger …
