Ming-Chi Kuo says to expect a dual camera setup for the Samsung Galaxy S9

Last month, an analyst from Hana Financial Investment named Kim Rok-ho, said that he expects the Samsung Galaxy S9 to feature a dual camera setup. Another analyst, Park Hyug-woo from Shinhan Investment, predicted that dual cameras will appear on the back of both the Samsung Galaxy S9 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. With all due respect to those two analysts, the tech world doesn’t get terribly excited until such a proclamation comes from an analyst with a proven track record, like KGI Securities Ming-Chi Kuo.

While Kuo is known for his fabulous calls on Apple devices, the analyst has lately …

Ming-Chi Kuo sees only two to four million iPhone 8 units available on launch day

Ming-Chi Kuo expects that only two to four million iPhone 8 units will be available for purchase on the launch date. While that is certainly a limited number, by the end of the year Apple will …

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has a fresh prediction in regards to the upcoming (allegedly) 10.5-inch iPad Pro. The Apple Nostradamus thinks the tablet in question will be formally announced at the company’s WWDC event in June. It sounds like a logical probability, although Apple doesn’t have much of a track record with device announcements at its developers conference.

Then again, this 10.5-inch iPad could be a little extra special with a design that reportedly features super-thin screen bezels. So Apple might be interested in showing it around at its big event. With sluggish …

Ming-Chi Kuo sees "revolutionary" front camera for the Apple iPhone 8

A report just released by KGI Securities reveals some new information from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo about the Apple iPhone 8. The analyst, who has a reputation for being highly reliable, says that the version of the 2017 iPhone wearing an OLED panel will sport a “revolutionary” front-facing camera and a 3D sensor. The 2D images from the camera will use the new sensor to produce 3D selfies and will also be employed for face recognition.

Ming-Chi Kuo recently said that the iPhone 8 would not have Touch ID embedded under an edge-to-edge display as originally thought. Instead, the analyst said …
