From China today comes word that Samsung is working on a new mid-range chipset named the Samsung Exynos 7872. The SoC carries a hexa-core CPU with two energy sipping Cortex-A53 cores and two power guzzling high performance Cortex-A73 cores. The Exynos 7872 will be built using Samsung’s 14nm LPP (Low Power Plus) fabrication technology.
