MediaTek announced two new chipsets last month, the Helio P23 and P30, which will be commercially available in Q4 2017. Starting next year, the Taiwanese company is expected to up its offerings with the first chipset built on the 12nm manufacturing process.
A new report coming out from China claims Meizu will be among the first companies to adopt MediaTek’s new Helio P40 chipset, which will be introduced in early 2018.
The Helio P40 chip will be based on TSMC’s 12nm process and will feature an eight-core architecture. …
The M6 Note is Meizu’s upcoming high-end smartphone that’s slightly less powerful than the company’s flagships, Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus. Well, it looks like Meizu has just confirmed its phablet will be unveiled on August 23.
The only issue that we see here is that it will be introduced on the same day Samsung plans to reveal the highly-anticipated Galaxy Note 8. In any case, Meizu M6 Note is a device that’s probably worth keeping an eye on since the Chinese company announces major changes for its M-series.
Meizu introduced its new flagship smartphones, the Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus, last week and chances are that Europeans will soon be able to purchase them directly from their countries.
For the time being, we know the Meizu Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus will be available for purchase starting August 5 for $430 and $530, respectively. The handsets will first go on sale in China, but Meizu promised to bring them to 17 more countries in the coming months.
Among them, France and Spain could be among the first to receive the Meizu Pro 7 and possibly its bigger brother too. Meizu …
Meizu has traditionally been one of those Chinese phone makers you’ve probably heard about, but never really given much thought to. It’s not that their devices have been bad by any measure — they’ve just been mostly forgettable.
Most of you out there may not think of Meizu as a company known for its innovative devices — hell, most of you may not even think about Meizu at all. So far, the Chinese phone maker’s offerings have been the epitome of the cheap, soulless black rectangle people have come to associate with the People’s Republic. Sure, there’s a fairly good reason for that — fly too high too fast and you’ll turn into the next LeEco — but it’s still funny just how same-ish all their phones have looked like in the past.
Meizu is expected to unveil its Pro 7 series on July 26, but we already know quite a lot about the smartphones. Meizu Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus are likely to remain China-exclusive, but many local retailers will provide international shipping for those who want to import them.
While Meizu prepares for the July 26 announcement, let’s take a look at some of the latest information about the Pro 7 series. Although previous reports claimed the Pro 7 Plus will utilize Samsung’s powerful Exynos 8895 chip, a more recent report coming from Taiwan’s TechNews says otherwise.
The soon to be unveiled …
If you have been following PhoneArena as of late, you know pretty well what the Meizu PRO 7 and PRO 7 Plus look like. But just in case you didn’t, or had some lingering doubts about this upcoming Chinese handset and its peculiar secondary display, let these clear, 100% blurry-cam free images of it and its Plus version take care of that.
Ahead of its July 26 announcement, the Meizu PRO 7 and its Plus-sized compatriot appeared on TENAA (China’s telecommunications authority)’s website. The clear images give us the best look at the handsets yet, though they don’t show anything that we haven’t …
A tweet disseminated by Meizu reveals that the manufacturer’s PRO 7 flagship phone will be officially unveiled on July 26th. Photos that come from Meizu reveal the secondary display that takes up a small portion of the back screen. Images of the secondary display show that it is placed just under the rear-facing dual-camera setup. This is all found under the left corner of the phone’s back cover. Previous leaks show the secondary display to be a full-color LCD screen.
Speculation has the Meizu PRO 7 powered by the MediaTek Helio X30 SoC carrying a deca-core CPU. The chip brings a 35% …
