Energizer Power Max P600S unveiled; handset carries a 4500mAh battery

These days, even the Energizer Bunny makes a smartphone, and as you might expect, this one carries a pretty hefty 4500mAh battery inside. The Energizer Power Max P600S features a 6-inch display (alright, 5.99 inches to be precise). This is not only a highly functional phone, it also looks stylish, too. With a 1080 x 2160 resolution, the device has an 18:9 aspect ratio and the so-called bezel-less look that is starting to become the norm.

Google Home Max users report lag with the smart speaker's line-in port

Does some tech CEO or short seller somewhere own a Google voodoo doll? If so, they have been sticking pins into it at quite a pace. Take a look at the number of issues that have affected the Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel 2 XL. Most of the problems with those two handsets have focused on the screen and the speakers. Then, the Google Home Mini smart speaker had an issue with the feature that allows users to activate Google Assistant by tapping the top of the device.

Now, the latest piece of bad news for Google has to do with the Google Home Max. This is Google’s top-of-the-line smart …

Xiaomi Mi Max 3 rumored to carry a 7-inch display and a 5500mAh battery

The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 was released this past June, carrying a 6.4-inch display with a 1080 x 1920 FHD resolution, powered by the Snapdragon 625 SoC. That is a pretty big screen for a handset, but not close to the size of the display that is rumored to be featured on the Mi Max 3. If the latest rumor is right, the Mi Max 3 will be encroaching on tablet territory with a screen size of 7-inches. The aspect ratio will weigh in at 18:9, and the panel will sport thinner bezels than those seen on the first two models in this series. The early betting line has the 1080 x 2160 FHD+ resolution the favorite …

Asus continues to upgrade some of its smartphone with new software that should have been part of these devices in the first place. Asus rolls out ZenUI 4.0 for ZenFone 4 Max, but Android 8.0 Oreo is still MIA

Asus launched a few ZenFone 4 models back in September, but they had different versions of ZenUI despite the fact they all shipped with Android 7.1.1 Nougat on board. For example, the ZenFone 4 Max was running ZenUI 3.0 on top of Nougat, while the ZenFone 4 Pro and ZenFone 4 included a new version of the skin.

Even though Asus promised to provide ZenFone 4 Max users with an update that will bring ZenUI 4.0 to the smartphone, the company didn’t say when it will happen. Today, Asus announced that it has commenced the roll-out of ZenUI 4.0 for ZenFone 4 Max.

ZTE has recently gained a lot of popularity for offering some of the best budget handsets on the market right now.
