Milo Yiannopoulos landed an unpaid writing gig, then lost it and got his editor got fired

TwitterFacebook

Bite at the universe, and occasionally, the universe will, in fact, bite back.

So goes the most recent development in the saga of noted troll and ex-Breitbart editor Milo Yiannopoulos’s rough week. On Thursday he lost his biggest benefactor, conservative billionaire Robert Mercer. And now, not only is he out of a job, but — get this — his presence with his latest employer was so toxic that the guy who hired him is now apparently out on his ass as well.

A brief recap: Back in February, a video from a 2016 podcast surfaced in which Milo defended the idea of relationships between grown men and young boys. “You’re misunderstanding what pedophilia means,” he said on the podcast. “Pedophilia is not a sexual attraction to somebody 13 years old who is sexually mature. Pedophilia is attraction to children who have not reached puberty.” Read more…

Apple sends email to some iPhone Upgrade Program members who lost their place in line for iPhone X

Last week, Apple kept insinuating that members of its iPhone Upgrade Program had a head start on others when it came to the process of pre-ordering an Apple iPhone X. That’s because those subscribed to the program were able to fill out certain paperwork and have it ready to submit to Apple before pre-orders started getting accepted yesterday morning. Now, Apple has been forced to send out an email to iPhone Upgrade Program members who encountered problems with their pre-order on Friday.

The email starts by saying that the program subscriber might have had an issue getting a loan. The iPhone …

Lost dog rescued from an abandoned mine shaft turns out to be a total superstar

TwitterFacebook

There are two types of “lost pet” stories: The happy ones, where good Samaritans lend a helping hand and everything works out in the end, and the unhappy ones, which we don’t talk about.

Well. Here we are, talking. I’ll let Portia Scovern, the non-canine hero of this story, explain (via her Facebook post):

A subsequent update on Ms. Scovern’s post confirms that the owner was located within a day. The little pup — whose name is Cheyenne — had been missing for just over two weeks, but her human caught wind of the Facebook post and stepped up to recover his furry friend.

In comments on Ms. Scovern’s Facebook post, owner Michael Captain expressed confusion over the idea that Cheyenne could have fallen down the abandoned mine shaft. As it turns out, she’s an extreme hiking dog! Read more…

Ryan Gosling lost it and just laughed during an 'SNL' sketch about Pizza Hut

TwitterFacebook

Sometimes Saturday Night Live is funny, sometimes it’s not. But the weekly sketch comedy series’ greatest gift is its ability to occasionally leave guest hosts — and sometimes even cast members — in stitches.

That’s what happened to Ryan Gosling in the Season 43 premiere on Saturday. You can see it happen as Cecily Strong rants. First, there’s a slight grin. Then, a wide smile. Finally, he just straight-up laughs. Right at the end of the sketch, too. It’s so good. Read more…

Somehow this BBC newscaster got lost in the studio—while on air

TwitterFacebook

Add another news blooper to the “best of” list!

BBC’s Tom Donkin unfortunately had a hard time finding the right camera and on-set location to deliver some world news on Saturday. The newscaster was caught on television rushing from one side of the desk to another in an attempt to find the camera and deliver stories about Hurricane Irma—a hurricane which is no joke, despite how funny his scramble may have been.

Donkin ended up blaming “wayward cameras” for the blunder, but honestly, we should be thanking the wayward cameras for a moment of levity before inevitably depressing news.  Read more…

Everyone lost their minds during that last battle in 'Game of Thrones'

TwitterFacebook

Spoilers follow for Game of Thrones Season 7, episode four. So don’t act like you haven’t been warned, dummy.

HOOOOooooooooo boy. That last scene.

Well, well, well. Instead of sending her dragons to burn King’s Landing to the ground and ruling a pile of ash, Dany decided to bring one dragon to burn down all of King’s Landing’s food. Makes sense.

Victorious Lannister troops, fresh off their win at Highgarden, were truckin’ along back home with all the food to feed their massive army and the city at large. And wouldn’t you know it? A Dothraki horde just so happens to be heading that way, too. Oh and Khaleesi riding a dragon was there as well. You know. Death.  Read more…

How To Find Your Lost Android Phone

Today, I chose to write on how to find your android device which is lost.

I think we all agree that it becomes very difficult to find your phone when you’ve lost your phone somewhere around. Most of us start making calls although it doesn’t make any sense if vibration mode too is off. Here I am going to tell you a better way to find your android device if it is lost somewhere around.

how-to-find-lost-android-phones

You can use Google’s official Android Device Manager to locate your phone, here are the simple steps:

1. Go to Android Device Manager by Google in your desktop browser, follow the link HERE.
2. Login with the same Gmail account you used to activate your Android Device before and registered in Google Play.
3. Now you will see your device name and last login date. Also, you will be seeing three options i.e. Ring, Lock and Erase.
4. By clicking on Ring, your device starts ringing at high volume which help you find your phone in seconds. This function works even when your phone is in silent mode.

5. You can also Lock your device with a password in case device is lost. You have to input a message and a number to make sure whoever finds your phone, can call you back at that number.
6. If the Location services of the device are turned on, you can find the exact location of the device by clicking on locate service which is at the right side of the device name.

You can also wipe off the data by clicking on Erase. It’ll perform a factory reset on your device. Your apps, photos, music and settings will be deleted. After you erase the device, Android Device Manager will no longer work. Factory reset setting will start working automatically when your device is online.
