Switch to MetroPCS and get 4 lines of unlimited LTE data for $100

MetroPCS, a T-Mobile prepaid brand since 2013, has a tempting offer for anyone willing to ditch a competing US carrier in 2018. If you switch to MetroPCS and port-in your number, you can get four lines of unlimited monthly LTE data, talk, and text for $100 – that’s just $25 per line. You can even add a 5th line at just $25 per month, but not a 6th one. There’s a downside to all this, as tethering (aka sharing your internet connection) is not available. Even so, we’d say this is a nice deal for families.
If you don’t need four lines of service, MetroPCS …

Carrie Fisher wrote some of her own lines in 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi'

TwitterFacebook

Carrie Fisher did more than reprise her role as General Leia Organa in the newest installment of the Star Wars franchise.

Before her death at age 60 last year, she brought her own wit and humor with her into The Last Jedi — and director Rian Johnson was all about it. He included some one-liners that have that characteristic Fisher bite, which she wrote herself.

In an interview with PEOPLE, Johnson credited Fisher with at least two quippy lines. The first was a line about her new hairstyle she makes to Mark Hamill’s character, Luke Skywalker. Read more…

Giant lines start forming for iPhone X

A day ahead of the big iPhone X launch, giant lines are starting to form throughout the world, but probably the biggest line right now has started forming in Asia where the launch is bound to happen first.
Hundreds of people have gathered in front of the Orchard Road Apple Store in Singapore, as well as in front of Apple Stores in Japan.
There seem to be people of all walks of life, but one particular group seems to be much more common in Asia than you would see in the US or Europe: re-sellers.
“I …

Apple iPhone 8 launch day: Still no shortage of long lines

Ten years of iPhone releases hasn’t slowed down the gravitational force that continues to be felt on launch day for Apple’s prized smartphone. It’s unbelievable to tell you the truth, seeing that you’d think that the allure and prestige would’ve fizzled down quite a bit over the years, but it hasn’t. Even as we visited Apple’s flagship store on 5th Avenue in New York City, there was no indication of the magic dwindling away – even well into the afternoon, which is an indicator of consumer interest.
So yeah, Apple took a slightly different …

And the iPhones, especially the iPhone X, are an expensive thing to just drop, right?

New OnePlus 5 image shows vertical dual-camera setup with no antenna lines

This past week, a OnePlus staff member posted a very interesting message on the company’s online forum. The message, from OnePlus staff member diegohnz, stated that optical firm DxO was working with OnePlus to enhance the camera on the OnePlus 5. The combination of this message and the release of certain teasers showing the number “5” make us feel pretty comfortable calling this model the OnePlus 5.

The current OnePlus model is the OnePlus 3T. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the reasoning behind OnePlus’ apparent decision to skip the number four, it has to do with a Chinese superstition. …

LG patent shows dual-screen phone crossing the lines between the company's V and G series

LG has patented an interesting hybrid design that looks like a combination of both its G and V series of high-end smartphones. It’s as if the LG G6 had a secondary display with the front camera in the center, alongside even thinner bezels. It’s an interesting visual for sure, even if that dead-center front cam is a little too in-your-face for our liking.

So, is this the LG V30? Hard to say. It will be a bold move for LG to introduce a phone that looks like this, as there’s truthfully nothing else out there to remotely resemble this design. And LG is cautious not …

Three lines of T-Mobile ONE just $100 with the Un-carrier's latest promotion

There is a huge war taking place in the U.S. Unlike most battles, the public is actually benefiting from it. We are referring to the carrier war that apparently has broken out between Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T and Sprint. One particular nasty exchange has been seen in the Battle of Unlimited. Historians will be discussing this for years to come. In the latest salvo, the Big Red war machine tried a sneak attack, even lobbing in streaming video in 720p. But General Legere quickly mobilized his Magenta Army with a response that matched  his rival. And AT&T last night started a new aerial …
