Fitbit’s first smartwatch, the Fitbit Ionic, was hardly a success. When paired to a handset, the Ionic gave users notifications related to texts and phone calls, and with a smattering of apps, a mobile payment system, GPS, and Fitbit OS, the company figured that the Ionic would appeal to consumers interested in a smartwatch. But the large size of the display apparently turned off potential female buyers, something that Fitbit is said to be addressing with its next smartwatch.
Thanks to a report published today, we can see that Fitbit’s second smartwatch attempt is being prepped. Called the …
The cheapest member of the upcoming P20 family by Huawei has leaked out completely in regulatory filings, and… surprise, surprise… it does show a cutout at the top bezel. Yes, just like the rumors and leaked cases suggested, the P20 Lite, which will cost about $370, does sport a notch, and its flagship brethren the P20 and P20 Plus might as well. Thus, if the LG G7 indeed houses the front camera and earpiece in a thicker top bezel area, as speculated, most major Android manufacturers, save for Samsung and Sony, would be copying Apple’s way of achieving an “all-screen” phone this year, it seems.
Samsung has a bunch of Galaxy J series smartphones in the pipeline, but none have been officially unveiled yet. We already reported about the Galaxy J4 and Galaxy J7, which recently popped up in various benchmarks.
The newest J series smartphone that’s been spotted in a benchmark, the Galaxy J8 has mid-range specs. It is yet unclear when exactly Samsung will announce these smartphones and how much they will cost, but these leaks may be an indication the South Korean company plans to launch them very soon.
We only have Galaxy J8’s partial specs since Geekebnch doesn’t store every component …
Fitbit has already confirmed plans to launch a new “Family” of smartwatches this year, and the first wearable device from the new lineup has already been leaked. The unannounced smartwatch was teased by Fitbit not long ago during its latest investors call as one with “mass appeal.”
Well, the first pictures showing the smartwatch that’s supposed to be more appealing than the Fitbit Ionic have just leaked online, along with details about its specs.
Design-wise, the upcoming Fitbit smartwatch seems to be a mix between the Ionic and Pebble wearables, hence the “mass appeal” tag. Apparently, …
When it rains, it pours, at least that’s what the state of the Galaxy S9 looks like right now, a day before the official announcement.
Well, folks, MWC is about to kick off and we sure can’t wait to see what surprises lie ahead! Unfortunately, in the era of leaks and rumors, surprises are often ruined. And someone may have just spilled the beans on what Sony has in store for us.
Among the army of new gadgets, we expect to see the Xperia XZ2 and Xperia XZ2 Compact to come and refresh the line. Serial leakster Evan Blass, who is pretty spot-on with his information most of the time, has shed some light on what the phones would be like. Sony is about to do something that we heard in rumors before, but still dared not think …
We are already en route to the Mobile World Congress (MWC) expo in Barcelona today, but if leaks continue this way, there will be only personal impressions about fingerprint smudges to relay to you, as, after the Galaxy S9 design popped up in glorious high-res, now the best tablet of the expo has also been revealed.
Huawei has found a way to set its phones apart from the competition: three rear-cameras. The P20 will skip Mobile World Congress (MWC) this year, but the Chinese handset maker has already confirmed its flagship will be unveiled on March 27.
As expected, there hasn’t been any lack of information regarding the Huawei P20’s specs, but images with the phone haven’t been leaked yet. The most recent picture allegedly showing the flagship might not be legit, so we have yet to learn what exactly the P20 looks like.
Now the folks over at AndroidAuthority got their hands on a set of Huawei …

Well, well, well, this might be the first time we are seeing an actual Galaxy S9 in the flesh and in the works, albeit an engineering sample of some sort, judging from the stickers on the back and front.
