Huawei Mate 10 Lite leaks out, price and new details revealed

Next month, Huawei will announce a few new smartphones apparently
called Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro, and Mate 10 Lite. While we’ve already heard a lot about
the three upcoming devices, details on exactly what differentiates them are a
bit confusing. Nevertheless, after seeing the Mate 10 in the wild, we can now
take a look at the Mate 10 Lite, thanks to a photo revealed by Venture Beat (seen on the left).

The Huawei Mate 10 Lite looks a lot like the regular Mate
10, with a notable difference: its fingerprint scanner should reside on the
back, not on the front. Another peculiarity is that this …

Google Pixel 2 XL pricing leaks out: You probably won't like it

Google is almost ready to officially unveil two new
smartphones – a large one made by LG, and a smaller one manufactured by HTC.
The LG-made handset will be the most expensive among the two, just like last
year’s Pixel XL was (and still is) more expensive than the regular Pixel.

The Pixel XL 2016 was launched for prices starting at $769, so
maybe that’s also the starting price of its successor? Unfortunately,
that’s not the case, as the new handset will cost a bit more.
According to
Droid-life, the Google Pixel 2 XL will be offered for $849 (64 GB version), or
$949 (128 GB version). …

Nokia 2 leaks out in all its (cheap) glory

HMD Global may not want to confirm the existence of
the Nokia 2 yet, but the handset has already been approved by the FCC, which even
shared some rather dull photos of it. Today, thanks to Evan Blass (aka
@evleaks), we can take a look at what appear to be official Nokia 2 renders.

The upcoming handset is presented in two color variants –
black and white/silver. It has a pretty generic design, with one notable change
(when compared to the other Nokia smartphones introduced this year): there are
no capacitive buttons on the Nokia 2, which means we’re getting virtual
navigation keys. …

Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 live photo allegedly leaks

We’ve already seen a concept video of the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 made by the designer of the phone, Philippe Starck. And just yesterday, we showed you a picture that allegedly reveals the back panel of the handset. Today, we have a new photograph to pass along pertaining to the Mi MIX 2. The image claims to show a live image of the sequel, including the thin bezels surrounding the screen. While the picture does resemble the concept model in the video, the latter has bezels that are a bit thinner than what we see in the photo that accompanies this story.

Rumored specs for the Mi MIX 2 have the …

Photo of Xiaomi Mi MIX 2's rear panel allegedly leaks out

We’ve known for quite some time that Xiaomi’s planning on releasing a successor to its much-lauded Mi MIX handset from late last year. But apart from an official 3D concept video, we haven’t seen pretty much any news regarding the Mi MIX 2.

Today this might change, however, as an alleged photo of the device’s rear shell has just surfaced online — and it’s in a tasty white color to boot. The photo shows a pretty similar back panel to the one in the original Mi MIX, with the most major differences being that the panel is now made up of only one piece …

Rosenblatt: 40 million iPhone 8 units to ship in the second half of 2017; model's 3D sensor leaks

Rosenblatt analyst Jun Zhang apparently has a large number of fingers and toes. Zhang expects 35 million to 40 million units of the Apple iPhone 8 to ship in the second half of this year. That would include less than three full months of availability for the iPhone 8. The analyst says that a low yield rate will prevent Apple from including a fingerprint scanner on the iPhone 8. Instead, Apple will use a facial recognition system that unlocks the phone and verifies identity in “millionths of a second.”

Breaking down the shipping data, Zhang calls for 5 million iPhone 8 units to ship in the …

Final version of Fitbit smartwatch leaks in press renders

Fitbit acquired two smartwatch companies before launching a product of its own: Pebble and Vector Watch. Although a new Fitbit smartwatch was supposed to make its debut in Q2, the company announced the wearable device is on track for a Q4 release, just in time for the holiday shopping season.

A handful of pictures showing the upcoming Fitbit smartwatch leaked out back in May, so if you’ve seen those images, then you won’t be surprised by those that surfaced today.

The folks over at Wareable published a few press renders of the Fitbit smartwatch showing the …
