Alleged iPhone X specs leak out: 2.5GHz chipset, high-res display, and 512 GB version

There has never been an iPhone as leaked as the upcoming “all-screen” edition dubbed tentatively iPhone X, and today is no exception. Hours before the actual announcement, the Russkies seemingly strike again, leaking information about the most anticipated phone of the season. We kid, but what you see below is seemingly a screen grab from a carrier database that lists the specs and different versions of one iPhone X.
Since the screen diagonal is listed as 5.8″ with 1125 x 2436 pixels, we can only assume that the alleged screen grab features the “bezel-less” iPhone X rumored …

GM leak of iOS 11 reveals 2017 Apple iPhone names: iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus

In just three days, many of the questions that we’ve had about the tenth anniversary edition of the Apple iPhone will be answered. One of the biggest questions is, what will Apple name this version of its iconic smartphone? From the very first rumors, most of us in the media have labeled it the Apple iPhone 8. The two iPhone 7 sequels were called the Apple iPhone 7s and Apple iPhone 7s Plus.

But last week, we passed along a couple of new rumors. One had the tenth anniversary model named the Apple iPhone Edition while the sequels were titled the Apple iPhone 8 and Apple iPhone 8 Plus. The …

New Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 leak offers a closer look at the phone's display

We’re just one week away from the official reveal of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2, another mildly interesting flagship smartphone making its debut in the second half of the year. The device is supposed to be unveiled on September 11, one day ahead of Apple’s big launch event.

However, the Mi Mix 2 is more important to the Asian market, as Xiaomi is unlikely to launch the phablet outside China and, maybe, India. Nevertheless, since it’s one of those devices that benefits from the “wow” factor, the Mi Mix 2 will probably sell very well even outside China through unofficial …

Tim Cook photographed with the Apple iPhone 8 in his pocket?; iPhone 8, iPhone 7s components leak

A tweet sent by Apple CEO Tim Cook late last week shows the outline of what could be the Apple iPhone 8 in the executive’s right pants pocket. Cook was Cincinnati to visit  CTS. This company is Cupertino’s long time partner when it comes to manufacturing test equipment. Where Cook was is not the story here, obviously. It is the device creating the bulge in his right pants pocket that everyone is fixated on, because the outline reveals that Cook might have been carrying the iPhone 8 on his visit to CTS. The outline is too tall to be an Apple iPhone 7 and is too narrow to be an Apple iPhone …

Alcatel A3 Plus, A7 XL and U5 HD leak ahead of IFA 2017 reveal

At least three new Android smartphones will be introduced by Alcatel at IFA 2017. The unannounced devices have been leaked over the weekend and are likely to make their debut on the market this fall.

The Alcatel A3 Plus comes in two variations (3G and 4G) and sports a 5.5-inch display with HD (720p) resolution. Even though this is a cheap device, it will feature a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor on the 3G model, but the 4G version will have the fingerprint scanner on the front side.

Next in line, the Alcatel A7 XL is a huge smartphone …

New Sharp Aquos flagship leak: bezel-less insanity

Just last week, Sharp announced the Aquos S2 — an upper-midrange handset with almost no bezels from all sides, save for a chin with a home button at the bottom. The Aquos family of devices was among the first to achieve that “tri-bezelless” look, but they haven’t been sold much outside of Japan. The only Aquos that reached Western markets was the Crystal, which was officially available through Sprint.

Anyway, with everyone doing crazy thin bezels this year, Sharp needs to up its screen-to-body ratio game a bit. And it seems it has.

An unknown “Sharp Aquos flagship” has been leaked …

Pictures of Samsung Galaxy Note 8 leak less than one week before unveiling

In less than one week, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be official at last. And as is typical for such a high-profile handset, the closer we get to the unveiling date, the number of leaked photos increases exponentially. The eagerly awaited phablet will be made official on August 23rd during Samsung’s next Unpacked event. Today, a number of new Samsung Galaxy Note 8 images have been discovered, including one picture of a Galaxy Note 8 dummy.

By now, you probably know by heart some of the phablet’s specs. It will feature a rear-facing dual-camera set up, and the fingerprint scanner is placed …

New LG V30 renders leak out

While LG shared plenty of things about its upcoming V30 smartphone (including details about its cameras and user interface), the device won’t be properly unveiled before August 31 – that’s two weeks from now. However, we’ve already seen the V30 in some screenshots snapped from a leaked video.

Today, we can take another look at the handset – this time thanks to clear renders revealed by the ever-reliable Evan Blass (aka @evleaks). These appear to be press renders that LG itself will be using to promote the new smartphone once it fully announces it.

As expected, the V30 looks like …
