Unveiled last week at CES (Consumers Electronics Show) 2018, Sony’s new lineup of Xperia smartphones is already available for pre-order in the United States. All three smartphones – Xperia XA2, Xperia XA2 Ultra and Xperia L2 – are now listed at Best Buy as unlocked devices.
The most expensive of the three, Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra is available for pre-order in four colors (Blue, Black, Silver, and Gold) for $450. The smartphone is expected to hit shelves in about from now, on February 16.
Next in line, Sony Xperia XA2 costs $350 and comes in Silver, Black, Blue, …
A couple of days ago, Sony went official with its brand-new phones — the upper-midrange Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra, and the budget Xperia L2. They are pretty-cool looking handsets, aimed at the traditionalists that like their phone to have that stark, rectangular look that Sony’s been touting for a while now.
The company has just released its own hands-on video for the three handsets. We get nice closeup shots and the specs of the phones reiterated. But it’s a nice, condensed way to get acquainted with the new handsets in case you missed them on entry.

The Sony Xperia L2 comes with a 5.5-inch 720p display, 1.5 GHz quad-core chip courtesy of MediaTek, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage (expandable via microSD card), a 13-megapixel main camera and an additional 8-megapixel unit with 120 degrees wide angle lens for selfies.
In 2017, Sony released no less than eight Xperia smartphones,
from affordable to expensive models, and it looks like the company has similar
plans for this year. While many fans are probably waiting for Sony’s 2018
high-end phones (which should include an Xperia XZ2), we’re now going to talk
about the mid-range Xperia XA2 and XA2 Ultra, and the lower-end Xperia L2.
We’ve already seen leaked images showing the Xperia XA2, XA2
Ultra, and L2. However, now, thanks to Venture Beat, we can take a look at press renders of the new
handsets – most likely, Sony will use these to promote the three …
