Is a Sandstone OnePlus 5T coming on January 5?

A few days ago we mentioned that OnePlus could be prepping a snazzy Sandstone finish version of its recent OnePlus 5T flagship and it could be due out January 5.

This got revealed a while ago thanks to a Weibo post which features a promotional poster stating that “The classic returns”, followed by a stylized schematic of Shi, one of the Chinese hieroglyphs for the ilk of “stone”. 
Furthermore, the dirty white color of the teaser itself could be a dead giveaway for the color of this intriguing finish, though that’s a bit of a stretch.

Nokia 6 (2018) could break cover sooner than expected, January 5th date tipped by big Chinese retailer

The 2018 edition of the Nokia 6 could get unveiled sooner than expected. The mid-range phone, which recently passed certification with Chinese regulatory agency TENAA, might go official on January 5th. The latest information comes from Suning, one of the largest retailers in China.

Samsung to unveil its next Exynos chipset on January 4, 2018

Qualcomm is not the only company with a top-tier chipset in 2018. Samsung has just confirmed that it will unveil its next Exynos chip on January 4, 2018. Although the handset maker did not specify the name of the SoC (system on chip) it plans to announce at CES 2018, there’s a high chance that we’ll be getting more information about Exynos 9810, the chipset that will power the Galaxy S9.

However, it’s unlikely that any other smartphone besides the Galaxy S9 and, possibly, the next Note series flagship, will use Samsung’s Exynos 9810 chipset.

Huawei P Smart (aka Enjoy 7S) goes on sale in Europe in late January for €249

If you’re following our daily news stream, then you probably know Huawei’s recently launched Enjoy 7S will be released in countries other than China as P Smart. Huawei introduced two Enjoy 7S variants in China, one with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory, and the second version with 4GB RAM and 64GB expandable storage.

However, the European version, also known as Huawei P Smart comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory. It’s yet unclear whether or not the bumped up model will arrive in Europe as well.

It looks like the rumored Nokia 9 won’t break cover before the end of 2017. According to a recent rumor; however, HMD Global could take the wraps off its “high-end flagship” in less than two months.
