Samsung Galaxy S9+ (with Snapdragon 845) gets benchmarked, impressive scores ensue

We’re at least a couple of months away from the day when
Samsung announces its Galaxy S9 and S9+ flagship smartphones, but we already
know a lot about the two devices. For example, we know that both should be
powered by Qualcomm’s brand new Snapdragon 845 processor (at least in the US).

Since the Snapdragon 845 is Qualcomm’s most advanced chipset
to date, the performance of the Galaxy S9 and S9+ should be top-notch, superior
to any previous Samsung phone, and perhaps any previous Android phone,
regardless of its maker. Benchmark website Geekbench appears to support this
idea, as someone …

ZTE intros the Blade Z Max: an affordable 6-incher with dual cameras and impressive battery

ZTE has recently gained a lot of popularity for offering some of the best budget handsets on the market right now. And while last year’ Axon 7 flagship did a lot to strengthen that image, ZTE has been consistently putting out a lot of other, lower-profile devices. And this is exactly what we’re witnessing today: the launch of the company’s latest ultra cheap device, known as the ZTE Blade Z Max.

Just like its predecessor, last year’s ZTE Zmax Pro, the Blade Z Max will be offered as a timed exclusive to MetroPCS, and will come at a pretty competitive price …

Sharp Aquos S2 is an impressive full-screen flagship with a finger scanner under the screen

It looks like an iPhone 8, but it’s not one. And it’s all yellow.
That’s the best way to describe the upcoming full-screen, bezel-less phone by Aquos. We saw the Sharp Aquos S2 leak out just several days ago, and now it’s official: the impressive new phone will be officially launched on August 8th at an event in Beijing.
Sharp usually sells its phones in Japan, so this will be its first such launch in China and a big one at that. The interesting thing about the Aquos S2 is that it is truly a full-screen, immersive …

Videographer goes to Yellowstone with the iPhone 7 Plus in hand, the resulting video is pretty impressive

So, we’ve all seen these “Shot on iPhone” pictures and videos, which Apple likes to endorse and put on its own website. But what we have here is, as far as we can tell, nothing but a fan project by photographer Harshit Vora, which is why it’s an interesting piece of media.

So, Mr. Vora visited Yellowstone earlier this Summer and decided to leave his mirrorless camera behind, taking a gamble with his iPhone 7 Plus. With the super-powerful app Filmic, some color grading, and nice editing, he got a really, really nice video. Want to do the same? Here are some really cool cinematic apps and …

Google Photos latest update brings impressive video stabilization to any phone post-capture

Google Photos is getting a big update that brings a ton of new features to the popular service, but there is one in particular that deserves a special mention: stabilization.
That’s right: you can now apply stabilization to your earlier recorded (and presumably jittery and shaky) videos and get them to look buttery smooth. And the result is indeed amazing.
Obviously, you have software stabilization doing its thing, so you will have a slight decrease in the quality of the video, but the result is definitely worth it. …

This iPhone 8 concept brings all the rumors so far to life and it's an impressive sight

Surrounded by rumors of a radical redesign and innovative technological additions, the next iPhone provokes any enthusiast’s imagination. Based on various rumors hinted at by analysts and supply chain sources, the work shows an all-screen iPhone covered by gently curved glass and built around a stainless steel frame.

The top features an AMOLED status bar that integrates …
