All Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and S8 models now come with free Gear IconX wireless earphones

Samsung will soon announce a Galaxy S9 and a Galaxy S9+, but that doesn’t mean the company wants customers to stop purchasing its current smartphones. That being said, following a wave of Galaxy-related deals that have been available lately, Samsung now has another offer to buyers of its high-end phones: the company is giving away Gear Icon X (2018) fitness earphones (normally priced at $199.99) for free.
To get yourself a free pair of Gear IconX earbuds, you can buy any of the following Samsung phones (either unlocked, or on a carrier*): …

Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 may have just leaked ahead of MWC 2018 announcement

Samsung fans are most likely focused on learning as much as they can about the company’s upcoming flagships – Galaxy S9 and S9+. However, there’s another device that South Korean handset maker is likely to introduce later this month at Mobile World Congress 2018, a new tablet.

Even though the Galaxy S9 is expected to steal the show, Samsung has another ace up its sleeve, the Galaxy Tab S4. The unannounced tablet has been recently spotted at GFXBench, along with some of its specs.

Naturally, the Galaxy Tab S4 (model number SM-T835) is a high-end tablet, so it’s no wonder that it packs …

New Cricket subscribers can buy the Samsung Galaxy S8 for $350 (50% off) under certain conditions

A week from this Sunday, the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Samsung Galaxy S9+ will both be unveiled. All of a sudden, those with the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8+ will own a phone belonging to the previous generation. But this dynamic allows retailers and carriers to take an axe to the price of the 2017 flagships right now, as they try to quickly reduce their inventory of the older models to make room for the new units.

Take Cricket Wireless, for example. The AT&T-owned pre-paid carrier has a great deal on the Galaxy S8 that amounts to a 50% off discount. It’s simple, really. Switch …

First Galaxy S9 preview pops for the Snaprdragon 845 US version, confirms all the new features

Well, well, well, some are mining bitcoins and interfering with people’s phone calls, others are mining Reddit threads for information about the Galaxy S9, and scoring a whole AMA dedicated to Samsung’s flagship.

Coming from someone who claims they spent about 20 minutes toying around with the phone, the session is rife with first-look impressions about the S9, so we will summarize the guy’s impressions below, so you don’t have to read through the whole wide thread.
First off, the design is indeed very close to the S8, and the leaked renders apparently …

Samsung Galaxy J4 (2018) leaks with entry-level specs

The Samsung Galaxy J5 from 2017
Samsung might be in the making of a new entry-level smartphone – the Galaxy J4 (2018). This is the conclusion we arrived at after learning that a phone with the model name Samsung SM-J400F appeared in the Geekbench benchmark database.

The not-yet-announced model runs Android 8.0 and has a quad-core 1,4 GHz processor on the inside, probably the Exynos 7570 that was present in the Galaxy J3 (2017) as well, alongside 2 GB of RAM. The alleged device has a Geekbench score of 623 for single-core …

Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+ teaser is all about taking great selfies

Yesterday, we showed you three new video teasers from Samsung for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ that focused (no pun intended) on some of the upcoming flagships’ photographic features. We saw video shot in slo-mo, and recorded under less than optimal lighting conditions. Today, we find another new video teaser that is titled “The Camera Reimagined.” This would indicate that Samsung has rebuilt the cameras on its 2018 flagship phones from scratch.

The new video shows a number of different effects, many of which are already available to owners of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy …

Snapdragon 855 in Galaxy S10 could be the first 7nm mobile processor, tips contractor

Qualcomm won’t say it, but their contractors do. Snapdragon 855 (SDM855) is the first 7nm SoC. (probably the one the X24 modem ends up in) pic.twitter.com/Ot1J34fQoG— Roland Quandt (@rquandt) 15 февруари 2018 г.

Yesterday, Qualcomm came out of the blue with the first chipset made on the groundbreaking 7nm process, but this one was a wireless modem, the X24, which will allow phones equipped with it to reach 2 Gbps 4G LTE download speeds.

The Snapdragon 845 that is about to debut in the Galaxy S9 ten days from now, is packing X20, which does 1.2 Gbps, …

The new Galaxy S9 Hyperknit case, and the LED Flip Wallet, are now available to order

Samsung’s official cases for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ have surfaced a few times already, but two of the styles that will be available for the phones are now up for ordering, and they include the brand new crocheted Hyperknit wrapper, along with the more orthodox LED Flip Wallet one.
Besides the Hyperknit, a new model is the Protective Standing Cover, but this is not yet available to purchase. The Hyperknit case has a woven texture that is usually found in outfits made for those weekend warriors who are into sports. In fact, …

More Galaxy S9 Exynos vs Snapdragon benchmarks leak, top the iPhone X score

After seeing Samsung’s newfangled Exynos 9810 chipset that will be in the Galaxy S9 make the benchmarking rounds yesterday with 4GB RAM, today brings us the Galaxy S9+ appearing on AnTuTu with a Snapdragon 845 on board, and 6GB of the stuff.

This is arguably the handset that leaked not long ago, and scored similar to 9810 in the multi-core tally, but much lower in single core, so what else are we learning about it from AnTuTu’s post today?
Well, the screen resolution of the SM-G965 handset (S9+) won’t be 1080 x 2020 pixels, as is depicted …

The first Samsung Galaxy S9 teaser videos are here: 3D emoji, slow-mo, superb low-light camera teased

SamsungMobileKorea has just uploaded a slew of Galaxy S9 teasers on its YouTube page, and just like any self-respecting video teaser should do, these all but confirm many of the key features that the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are wildly expected to have.

The first video blatantly reveals the advantages of slow-mo videos, the second one is a dead giveaway for superb low-light photography thanks to the variable aperture that can go as wide as f/1.5, and the third one… Well, the third one is a sign of the times as it features 3D emoji, which would allow users to create animated …
