Amazon announces Alexa is coming to headphones, smartwatches and fitness trackers

One of the best voice-activated assistants, Alexa will be implemented in devices other than smart speakers, Amazon confirmed recently. The US giant announced it will soon release the Alexa Mobile Accessory Kit, which will allow developers to bring Alexa to portable devices like headphones, smartwatches and fitness trackers.

Acer announces new Leap Ware smartwatch that doubles as fitness band

Acer is no stranger to wearables market having launched smartwatches and fitness bands before. Today, the company announced another smartwatch that doubles as a fitness band for those who use this type of products.

The new smartwatch is called Leap Ware, and it should be available in North America in July with prices starting at $139. Also, the smartwatch will be launched in EMEA in Q3 for €139, whereas customers in Taiwan will be able to grab it in August for NT$4,990.

The HTC Vive Tracker is not a fitness tracker, but it lets you shoot dinosaurs in the face!

A few weeks ago, we heard that HTC is working on a Vive-branded tracker. Of course, no one ever said it was a fitness tracker, but such a possibility did come close to mind. So we are surprised by the turnout, but very pleased nevertheless! You’ll see why below.

When it comes to fitness trackers, room for innovation is quickly dissipating.
