TwitterFacebook

Excited for Black Panther? So are we. Which is why we’re rolling out obsessive coverage with Black Panther Week.

It takes something extra to stand out in a Black Panther cast filled with achingly beautiful humans. Whatever it is, Winston Duke has got it.

The actor behind M’Baku, leader of the movie’s Jabari Tribe, steals just about every scene he appears in. Even his first scene, when he challenges T’Challa to ritual combat for Wakanda’s throne… how many of you were quietly just cheering him on?

Following shocking finish, Apple Watch warns several Vikings fans about their heart

It was the kind of ending you would expect to only see from Hollywood. Trailing the New Orleans Saints 24-23 in their NFC Divisional Round playoff game, the Minnesota Vikings had 10 seconds left on the clock and were at their own 39 yard line. Case Keenum dropped back to pass and lofted a pass to Stefon Diggs, who caught the ball at the Saints 34, kept his balance, and ran into the end zone for the game winning touchdown as time expired.

Vikings fans at the stadium or watching on television had just witnessed a modern day football miracle, and their bodies were responding appropriately. …

Dark vs. Light: 'Star Wars' fans storm social media with dueling 'Last Jedi' opinions

TwitterFacebook

Spoiler alert! This post contains big spoilers for Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Seriously, get out of here now if you don’t want to know what happens.

The critical response to The Last Jedi has been overwhelmingly positive, with reviews lauding the film for — among other things — deviating from the Star Wars norm.

Audiences online, though, haven’t been quite so enamored of the movieAs Mashable reported earlier this week, the gap between Rotten Tomatoes scores from critics vs. those from moviegoers was, at one point, a whopping 37 percent.

Apple gets trolled in front of 105,000 Buckeye fans in Ohio Stadium

Ohio State Buckeye fans took a shot at Apple during yesterday’s game against Michigan State at Ohio Stadium. In the stands were 105,000 fans watching the 11th-ranked Buckeyes demolish the Spartans 48-3. Also taking a licking at the game yesterday was Apple, thanks to several students who were participating in a motivational stunt in the stands. These fans were holding up cards to create the letters that spell “OHIO.” This is done to whip up the home crowd, which in turn gets the home team going.

Yesterday, when the fans were spelling out “OHIO,” the letter “I” was replaced by “A[?],” …

Ohio State fans had the best response to Apple's iOS 11 glitch

TwitterFacebook

Ohio State crushed Michigan State yesterday—and they also crushed Apple.

Ohio State fans perfectly executed a timely prank directed at the iPhone maker. During an O-H-I-O chant, when they would usually represent the “I,” fans instead held up signs that read “A[?].”

Yep, they replaced the “I” with the nonsense “A[?]”—just as Apple did with an autocorrect suggestion for iOS 11 users this week.

Here's Millie Bobby Brown meeting one of her adoring fans

TwitterFacebook

Hawkins, meet The Six.

Millie Bobby Brown and Drake, two celebrities whose work has made me very emotional, met on Friday night when Brown stopped by a Drake concert in Brisbane, Australia. The two are clearly fans of each other and were thrilled to hang out IRL, which — surprise! — also made me emotional.

As if things couldn’t get any cuter, both Brown and Drake also posted delightful backstage photos. Drake opted for the serious, Eleven-esque shot…

T-Mobile: Astros fans love social media while Dodger fans like to stream video

The 2017 World Series has gone back and forth, a pitcher’s duel one game, a slugfest the next. And the Houston Astros, who just a few short years ago lost more than 100 games for three consecutive seasons, are one win away from their first title. But that isn’t the important thing. What is important is how the fans in each of the two cities used T-Mobile data on their phones while sitting in the stands during the games.

L.A. fans, perhaps due to the city’s close proximity to movie and television studios, used Netflix 250% more in Dodger Stadium during games 1 and 2, than Astros fans did …

'Rick and Morty' fans are not happy about how that Szechuan sauce promotion went down

TwitterFacebook

Hope you were first in line at McDonalds today, Rick and Morty fans. Looks like that Szechuan sauce went fast.

The condiment became a cultural phenomenon after it was featured during the show’s Season 3 premiere in April — such a phenomenon, in fact, that Mickey D’s decided to release the now-iconic sauce for one day only: October 7.

The promotion was set to begin at 2 p.m., and Rick and Morty fans across the country made plans to snag a packet of their own.

However, many people complained on Twitter Saturday that their stores had begun selling the sauce early, or that they barely had any in stock at all. (To be fair, McDonald’s did warn customers that stock would be “really, really limited.”) Read more…
