Google expands YouTube offline video download support to 125 countries

Google silently made the ability to download YouTube videos for offline view available in more countries than we had expected. Although the roll-out started last month, the option to download YouTube videos didn’t appear in more than several countries.

In the meantime, the search giant updated the app’s support page with the full list of countries where this specific feature is supported. According to this list, there are no less than 125 countries where it’s possible to download YouTube videos for offline views.

Google has just announced that its YouTube TV streaming service is now available in 34 new markets in the United States, the only country where it can be accessed. Twitter expands its character cap to 280 characters per tweet for most users

Twitter announced today that it is satisfied with the test it started in September that allowed some users to double the character cap on tweets from 140 to 280. The new character limit for most Twitter users globally is now officially 280 characters per tweet. During the test period, people still kept under 140 characters, and as Twitter put it, “the brevity of Twitter remained.” The number of English language tweets that hit the limit dropped from 9% to 1% with the expanded cap.
