Samsung teases the Note 8 event with a “Do bigger things” video

It’s been almost a month since Samsung sent out an invitation for its Unpacked event to be held on the 23rd of August. The image back then depicted a Galaxy Note 8 silhouette with an S Pen pointing towards it. Pretty obvious who the star of the event is going to be, right?

Now, Sammy has posted a video on its YouTube channel, basically teasing the Note 8 further. The clip basically throws a number of inspirational words like “leap”, “innovate”, and “bigger” at us, then finishes up with the same silhouette from the invitation. The supplied text reminds us of the …

Motorola plans August 24th event; Moto X4 up next?

According to a new invitation sent out by Motorola in Brazil, the company will hold an event in Sao Paulo at 10am on August 24th, 2017. Unfortunately, the invite doesn’t specifically mention which model or models will be introduced on that date. One possibility is the Moto X4. In North America, Latin America, and Europe, the Moto X4 will be equipped with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage. In the Asia …

The Essential Phone will be showcased at a “First Look” event on August 25

We only know that the Essential Phone actually exists, but no one can buy one yet. Even though Andy Rubin promised its smartphone will be launched on the market one or two weeks after being officially unveiled, it looks like the Essential Phone has a two months delay.

A couple of days ago, Essential’s officials confirmed their smartphone is already in full mass-production and that they plan to announce when it will go on sale next week.

We now have information that suggests Essential will be hosting a “First Look” event where people will be able to see and try the Essential Phone …

Samsung officially announces Unpacked event for August 23rd; Galaxy Note 8 anybody?

This afternoon, Samsung sent us an invitation to its next Unpacked event. This will be held on August 23rd in New York City. If you’re thinking that this date sounds familiar, that is because last week we told you that reports out of Korea called for an August 23rd unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Now we should make one thing clear about the invite we received today. The words Samsung Galaxy Note 8 aren’t written anywhere on it. But a blue silhouette in the shape of the Samsung S Pen is included, and that pretty much takes the mystery away.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is expected …

Motorola to hold July 25th new product unveiling event in New York City

Looks like Motorola will be unveiling at least one new phone in New York City around the end of the current month (July 25th to be exact). Invites sent out by the company say, “You won’t want to miss this,” and colored tunnels flash red, yellow, orange, pink and blue lights. We could see the Moto Z2 Force introduced (we recently got a peek at the AT&T version of the phone) along with the Moto X4. The latter might feature a dual camera-set up and an IP68 certification rating. That is a bit unusual for Motorola as the company usually relies on nano-coating fron P2i to protects a handset from …

Una the dog was the best part of the OnePlus 5 launch event

So the OnePlus 5 just got announced, with what one might be tempted to call a somewhat boring presentation. The prerecorded keynote was a bit of a slow, lethargic experience, similar in tone to last year’s 3T event. But not everything was bad. In fact, there were a couple of brief but very welcome moments of bliss, when she appeared. No, not American supermodel and OnePlus spokesperson Emily Ratajkowski.
We’re talking about Una.
The red-coated Shiba Inu, a mainstay of OnePlus’ marketing, made an appearance at the event, and actually …
