Samsung and LEGO unveil the obsolete, overpriced NINJAGO MOVIE Edition tablet for kids

Not all tablets launched in the US are meant to compete with Apple’s iPad (regardless of the model). As a matter fact, any Android tablet that’s priced to sell for less than $300 will surely have a much easier time avoiding any competition from Apple.

Still, launching a tablet with specs that make it look like a three-year-old product is not alright, even if it’s positioned in the low-end tier price-wise. That being said, it appears that Samsung and LEGO have teamed up to launch a tablet aimed at kids.

The so-called NINJAGO MOVIE Edition tablet can now be pre-ordered in the US via …

Android Wear 2.0 starts rolling out for AT&T's LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition

Great news for LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition owners who purchase their smartwatches through AT&T, as the carrier has just announced Android Wear 2.0 is now being pushed to the wearable device.

AT&T’s LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition is the last version of the smartwatch received this update after Verizon released it about a month ago. Not to mention the first generation model got Android Wear 2.0 back in April.

It’s been almost seven months since Google launched Android Wear 2.0, but it looks like carriers have been delaying the release of the update for quite a long time.

BlackBerry KEYone Black Edition not coming to the U.S.

Bad news for U.S. consumers who were hoping to get their mitts on the Black Edition of the BlackBerry KEYone. The enhanced version of the handset will not be sold in the states. With a fabulous QWERTY keyboard and spectacular battery life, the KEYone has been a surprise hit for BlackBerry Mobile. The Black Edition, which launched last month as an exclusive in India, not only gives the phone a sleek black look, it also increases the amount of RAM on the handset from 3GB to 4GB, a 33% increase. Native storage doubles from 32GB on the standard model to 64GB on the Black Edition.

At the end …

Apple's new 2017 iPhone line up to be named iPhone Edition, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus?

Just 11 days before Apple unveils the 2017 iPhone line up, it appears that a couple of case vendors have each heard the same whispers about the new iPhone models from the same sources in Shenzhen, who claim to have seen the packaging of the new phones. Based on these sources, it appears that the 2017 iPhone line up will consist of the Apple iPhone 8 (sequel to the Apple iPhone 7), Apple iPhone 8 Plus (sequel to the Apple iPhone 7 Plus) and the Apple iPhone Edition (the tenth anniversary model).

One of the casemakers claims to have updated its SKUs based on this information, which means that …

BlackBerry KEYone Black Edition stars in new official video

Yesterday, BlackBerry Mobile announced that it is expanding distribution of the Black Edition BlackBerry KEYone starting at the end of this month. Besides having a matte black finish that quickens the pulse of the average smartphone fan, the Black Edition of the KEYone gets a bump up in specs from 3GB of RAM to 4GB, and to 64GB of native storage from 32GB. Sure, it would have been nice for BlackBerry Mobile to have included an Ingress Protection certification rating. But as Mr. Jagger so eloquently put it, “You can’t always get what you want.”

This morning, BlackBerry Mobile produced …

BlackBerry KEYone Black Edition hands-on: the powerful new dark side of BlackBerry

One of this year’s most divisive handsets has been the BlackBerry KEYone. Is its unusual shape and hardware QWERTY keyboard trying too hard to play into the nostalgia some (presumably older, stuffy, businessman-type) users still harbor for the early days of smartphones? Or is this interesting mix of unique input schemes, insane battery life, and pricing that’s on the affordable end of the flagship scale a welcome change of pace in a market that far too often can feel a bit uninspired when it comes to phone choices?

But even if you’re a dedicated KEYone fan, things can get a little …

U.K.'s Carphone Warehouse is taking pre-orders for the BlackBerry KEYone Black Edition

Yesterday, BlackBerry Mobile announced that it would be widening distribution of the BlackBerry KEYone Black Edition. Other countries receiving the model by the end of the year are found in continents such as Europe, …

The Moto Z2 Force Edition affected by the "jelly effect" issue, what gives?

It’s been less than a month since the Moto Z2 Force Edition made its debut in the United States, so many customers have already been able to purchase one. If you are one of those people, then you might not have known that the Moto Z2 Force is affected by the same “jelly effect” issue as the OnePlus 5.

Neither Lenovo nor OnePlus offered an official explanation as to why their phones display the same erratic behavior when scrolling. Many believe that the “jelly effect” is caused by the fact that the display on these phones has been mounted upside down.

Moto Z2 Force Edition is up on the torture table and that shatter-proof display sure scratches easily

This year, Moto made things simpler with its flagships — instead of launching heirs to both the elegant Moto Z and the durable Moto Z Force, it just went with a Moto Z2 Force Edition, which takes cues from both worlds. It’s slim and lacks a headphone jack, yet sports the shatter-proof display.

YouTuber JerryRigEverything is well-known for running a pre-planner, elaborate torture test on every hot device that comes out and, sure enough, the Moto Z2 Force Edition was destined for his chopping block. It got tested for scratch durability, bend durability, and resistance to flame (the last one …
