Galaxy S9 rumored to launch with refreshed DeX dock

When the Samsung Galaxy S8 launched in April 2017, Samsung also launched the first generation of Samsung DeX. With DeX, users are able to plug their compatible Galaxy smartphone (S8, S8+, or Note 8) into the dock, then connect a display, mouse, and keyboard to create a powerful workstation. As smartphones become more powerful, they will be able to take on heavier workloads, and as they are becoming more expensive, who is to say that they should not take a more prominent role in our day-to-day computing?

Alongside the expected launch of the Samsung Galaxy …

This is how a great deal of the new features are added in Nova Launcher, Action Launcher, and other AOSP-like home screen replacements: Google releases a new version of Android, the developers of said launchers try to implement all the new features as quickly as possible, and after they’re done, they start looking for ways to modify and diversify the experience by granting users a greater freedom for customization.
This is also the case with the docked search bar widget, which was introduced in Android 8.0 Oreo, and which made its way into Nova …

Dock for Huawei Mate 10 allows it to be used as a PC with a desktop UI for Android apps?

Samsung’s Dex dock offers users a desktop style UI when a Android flavored handset being used is connected to a large screen via the dock. This is obviously an improvement over a simple blown up image of the Android UI that the previous technology was capable of. Now, out of France, comes word that the Huawei Mate 10 will be able to sync with a  Dex-like dock, which will enable users to use a desktop-like UI to access Android apps. This will work even if the phone is connected to a large screen wirelessly through Miracast.

MirAxess CEO Yanis Anteur said in a published report that the …

An iPhone charging dock that looks like a vintage Mac happens to be a great combination

A charging dock for your iPhone can be anything, so Elago made one that looks like a vintage Mac. Meet the Elago M4 Stand, a charging station that looks like a miniature version of the Macintosh 128K – a model Apple released way back in 1984.

The dock is a fairly convincing and detailed replica, designed with an insert for your 4.7-inch iPhone. It’s made out of silicone material so you don’t need to worry about your phone getting scratched.

What’s more, the material’s properties let the dock feel soft and make it stay firmly on any flat surface. The custom …

The ultimate easy-charge dock station is now on Kickstarter – available for most smartphones

AutoDock represents a thoughtful combination of simple tech that, at first sight, may make most docking stations out there useless. Nothing out there does what this dock station does. When you put your phone into the slot, little arms grab it and fix it in place. You don’t need to fumble around to match your phone to the plug at all – just put your phone in and leave it, and let the dock take hold. The idea is that you are relieved of all cable hassle, while also saving dollars on replacing flimsy charging cables. Everyone knows the pain…
