Sony Xperia XZ Premium to receive Android 8.0 Oreo update in December

Sony Mobile is one of the important smartphone companies that have yet to announce any details about its Android 8.0 Oreo plans. Well, perhaps the reason was the fact that the Japanese handset wasn’t ready to commit to any Oreo updates.

The good news is the situation has slightly changed, as Sony Mobile Japan recently confirmed that the Xperia XZ Premium smartphone will receive the highly-anticipated Android 8.0 Oreo update starting December.

Obviously, there’s a high chance that the update will arrive in other parts of the world well ahead of the Japanese …

If you’ve been constantly thinking about November 3rd, daydreaming about receiving your Apple iPhone X and mentally opening the box containing the tenth anniversary model, you might need to adjust your fantasy a little. A tweet disseminated today from financial news wire service Brightwire contains the latest rumor concerning a delay in the release of the Apple iPhone X.

While Brightwire’s tweet didn’t specify what is holding up production of the premium handset, it did say that yields have fallen under the 10% mark. That is quite an abysmal figure. When you consider that this means more …

The new Surface Pro will arrive in December says Microsoft executive

Back in May, Microsoft unveiled the sequel to the Surface Pro 4, which it called “the new Surface Pro.” Not different enough to earn the Surface Pro 5 moniker, you still might want to call several versions of the tablet the Surface Pro LTE. Models powered by the Core i5 will include built-in LTE connectivity for the first time in Surface Pro history. That limits the LTE support to Surface Pro tablets carrying 4GB or 8GB of RAM, 128GB to 256GB of SSD storage, and an Intel HD Graphics 620 GPU. As a comparison, the top of the line new Surface Pro model powered by an Intel Core i7 processor features …

However, B2X is only going to provide support for Nokia feature phones and Lumia smartphones that were built before December 1, 2016. HMD confirmed recently that it would offer support to Nokia-branded features phone …
