YouTube TV adds a bunch of channels and cities—for a price

YouTube TV is expanding its programming, and will be available in more cities with a higher price.

The network has added a number of channels to its lineup, including TNT, Adult Swim, TBS, CNN, Cartoon Network, truTV, and Turner Classic Movies. Soon, sports lovers can also expect NBA TV and MLB Network to join YouTube TV’s base package, and NBA League Pass and MLB.TV as add-ons. 

The service is also expanding to new areas, to cover what it clams is 85 percent of U.S. households. The service was previously available in around 75 cities. The new regions include Honolulu, Hawaii; El Paso, Texas; Richmond, Va.; Charleston, S.C.; Syracuse, N.Y.; and Scranton, Penn; Burlington, Vt.; and Lexington, Mass.  Read more…

Google adds more channels to YouTube TV, but service gets more expensive

YouTube TV is a relatively new service that’s been launched in some regions in the the United States. We’ve been reporting about YouTube TV since its launch and the service is now available in more than 40 markets in the US.

In order to benefit from YouTube TV, customers must pay a $35 monthly fee. Then, they will get access to live TV from major broadcast networks, popular cable networks, as well as premium networks. Telegram blocks “thousands of ISIS-related” channels every month

The subject of heavily encrypted chat apps is a rather controversial one. Unlike regular phones and other more conventional forms of communication, such messengers are often impossible to “wiretap” even by the companies that provide the services.

In addition to lots of hardware muscle, the OnePlus 5 seems to have no shortage of weird usability problems, too. With Chris Pine hosting Saturday Night Live this week, the writers obviously couldn’t resist the opportunity to let the Star Trek franchise’s new Captain James T. Kirk channel the original iteration of the character, made famous by William Shatner.

Pine did his best Shatner for a surreal sketch about the original show’s “lost episode,” featuring Bobby Moynihan as Spock’s secret half-brother, Spocko, and it’s comedy gold. Read more…

Microsoft Teams for iOS updated with video calls support, ability to create new channels

A significant update has just hit Microsoft’s Teams app for iOS devices. As the title says, the update brings video calls support into the mix, as well as other new features.

If you’re using Teams on your iOS device, upgrading to the latest version will allow you to connect face to face using the newly added video calls feature. Also, you can easily add or remove team members.

YouTube TV officially announced: 44 channels for $35 per month
